The Hamptons Apartments is a relatively small but well appointed place to stay for an individual or for a family. It is close to the 109 tram line which is a direct route to Melbourne CBD and even closer to numerous restaurants on Bay St as well as Coles, IGA and First Choice Liquor. Very courteous staff and quick to respond to any request.

Nice apartment good for a family. Walking distance to tram stop, shops, supermarket, pubs etc. Parking can be tricky but we found a spot in the street with no restrictions so left the car there all week no problems. Great area for walking and a beach just at the end of the street. Close to the city, only ten minutes by tram. Apartment needs some TLC and the oven didn’t work but overall we had a good stay.

Hi Peter,We hope you are well!We appreciate your review as it helps us in determining areas of our processes that need to be addressed.May we know specific info about why you thought the Apartment is "terrible for parking?" Upon checking your reservation, it appears that you have booked an Apartment in Hamptons Port Melbourne from Dec 2-4, 2023 and as part of our internal investigation, we checked all the correspondence leading up to your stay, along with any correspondence while you were in-house. However, we don't see any emails from you requesting parking at our Apartment. Kindly note that any guest who requires parking in Hamptons Port Melbourne will be informed that we use Car Stackers. Before we allocate one, we need to collect all the car details to ensure that it will fit the stacker to prevent any damage. A Car Parking Induction also needs to happen after a guest checks in, but they are required to contact us directly after checking in so they can schedule an induction, which is only done during business hours. Let us know if there's anything else we may assist you with.Thank you

Property did not inform us of car park renovations until we requested car park induction!!! We felt they did not want us to park car at property since they only informed us of maintenance/renovations when we brought the issue up!!! There were no workers about for the car park renovations plus there were also cars parked inside during our stay. Other properties would advise pool/car park etc under maintenance. Getting the key to room was a major hurdle !! The key locker didn’t work properly and we were given 3 codes before can actually open locker …they said there will 2 key passes and yet there was only 1 key pass given which caused a lot of inconvenience !

Hello Toung,Thank you for reaching out to us to express your frustration about your recent booking.We take our guests' feedback seriously in order to improve our quality of service.Kindly note that we were also not informed that you would be using a Car Parking when the booking was made. You see, Online Travel Agency (OTA) Bookings automatically drop into our system with only the accommodation details and the amount paid by the guest via Expedia. No information was passed on at the time of booking that a Car Parking is required until we received an email from you that you require one.Unfortunately at the time, we can't provide you with a particular Car Parking spot as we were upgrading all the locks in the Building including that of the Car Parking Spaces. To rectify this, you were advised that there are plenty of free parking spaces directly outside our property, subject to council signs, and one of the private car parking companies was also suggested. We're sorry that this particular incident has upset you, but please note that we do our best to suggest car parking spaces in case we can't offer one. As for the issues with the codes, please note that we have just transitioned to self-check-in and part of the transition will sometimes include a few glitches. But they are being dealt with as soon as the issue is raised.Based on the history of your booking, you were successfully given 2 different codes for the main entrance and the lockbox that holds the Apartment Keys. The codes came with detailed instructions on how and where to enter them and if there are issues, you are free to contact us upfront. Again, we do apologize for any inconvenience and we hope that your recent experience won't deter you from booking with us again.Thank you,Guest Services

The checkin process was not great. The person did not arrive at the agreed time so we were waiting on the street - no apology when she did arrive and she wasn't overly friendly or informative. Sending an email 2 hours before arrival with information about the apartment for people who are coming off an international flight is not ideal especially if they don't have access to data on their phones. The duvet on the bed had a big yellow stain on it and dried blood - not acceptable. They changed the duvet the next day for us but put on a duvet that was to small for the bed so we didn't end up using the main bedroom. The shower had not been cleaned very well - they cleaned it again for us the next morning. The upstairs roof area had not been cleaned so outdoor tables had beer stains on them and the rubbish bin was overflowing (we were there at 1pm in the afternoon) The room had no windows to look out of as they were all painted so it felt very closed in. Overall we were disappointed with the apartment. The location however was excellent.

Very expensive property that was dirty with stained couches, unclean windows and chipped furniture. The car parking process was too difficult. The view was beautiful, showers great and the amenities good. The mosquitoes were also a problem.

Guests were locked out of their apartment with no access to any hotel assistance or emergency contact. It was really distressing to them and other guests, myself included, for them to be stranded with no other options because there was no support onsite or offsite. I spent a couple of hours trying to contact help on their behalf

The bathroom sink is blocked had to use to toilet basin to brush our teeth, no extra rolls if toilet paper supplied had to buy my own as no staff on site and no tissues so I had to use the toilet paper to blow my nose. Other than that very nice and comfortable

The apartment was fine - -it was just the confusion re the money - the deposit and the different quotes and wondering if we had been charged twice .. subsequent to booking we found out about deposits and charging for parking

Great location, beautiful views. A few minor things need attention that make it look a little tired, but doesn't deter from the overall experience. Staff were lovely on check-in. Would definitely stay there again.

Secure parking promised but not available due to malfunction of compact parking system which was not advised on website. Had to park 2 cars in a public paid car park 1/2 a block away and not secured. Cars filled with private items which led to major anxiety overnight wondering if they would be broken into and/or stolen. Not impressed at all. Gordon on reception was fabulous and unfortunately bore the brunt of our frustration and disappointment. Unit had some damage and freezer, washing machine and dryer were not clean. No views as per website.

Awesome space for a friends trip away
We had a fantastic stay. We were staying with our bridal party for our wedding. The hotel was awesome. we had 3x 2 bedroom apartments. Very spacious. The premium suite was superb with a beautiful balcony looking out over the bay. The amenities we awesome. We even had a Buttler’s pantry in the premium apartment. The beds were very comfortable. Be aware that the car parking available is in stackers. These require a bit of effort and only fit small cars and sedans. Absolutely nothing bigger. It was a bit of fun to use the turn table, but it’s good to be aware of this when you are planning your trip. There was plenty of street parking with no weekend restrictions, and no restrictions over night. Also, the fitness centre was closed because of Covid so that was a bit disappointing. Apart from that we had an exceptional stay. We had 12 people staying between the 3 rooms. We were very comfortable and we’re able to gather with enough space for dinner each night. We loved it and would highly recommend booking here!

Close to the beach
Location of the apartment was perfect for beach, boat and shops. We had read reviews so we knew to catch the tram not drive, and as guessed the one bedroom apartment had no view. Inside everything was roomy, clean and very comfortable. WiFi was excellent and stayed connected across multiple devices.

Nicely decorated, well located and very clean. We would definitely stay again. The only negative was I made an error during the booking process, typing in 12 instead of 11 (booking 1 too many nights).The booking was non-refundable and I was unable to resolve the error. I emailed the property within minutes and they agreed to amend the booking on the condition I made a request change through Expedia. For the life of me I couldn’t work out how to make a request to Expedia to amend the booking. Our reason for staying at Port Melbourne was because our booking at Thredbo was cancelled due to fires and we had to wait out improvements in fire conditions and the opening of roads.
