“We stayed at The Heartland Inn in Park Rapids and had a fantastic experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. They were wonderful with our dogs, which meant a lot to us and made traveling with pets easy. The breakfast was far better than expected—well stocked with lots of options, great coffee, and excellent donuts. The pool area was also a highlight—really impressive and very well maintained....

“Breakfast could use work. But its ok. Different mini boxes of cereal and something different than biscuits and gravy and waffles. Other than that everything is alway nice and friendly and polite and respectful and rooms are clean. ”

“Check in was easy and gentleman was very pleasant. Room was clean, large bathroom and well appointed. Bed was comfortable and room had all necessary things for a good nights rest. Large pool and hot tub available. Used the hot tub which was great after a long days drive. Better breakfast than most! Will stop again as I travel through over the next couple of weeks.”

“The property itself was clean and perfectly acceptable. The walls were thin, and the neighbors, loud. The TV volume could not be adjusted, and so was too quiet to hear. Oddly, though, I could hear the neighbor's TV just fine! An ok spot for an overnight, located near a beautiful park and close to restaurants, shops, and convenience stores.”

“This place goes downhill every single year. We stay with a group for Christmas for the last 15 years. Wallpaper is peeling, you are charged for a “resort fee” but the pools aren’t even always working. Dining is subpar. Rooms are very dated and getting worse every year. I think it’s time for our family to move on from thumper pond. ”

“It sounded like they had been having issues with the hot tub for a while which was frustrating when it was one of the things we look for when booking and I feel there could be some way to report this for Expedia bookings. The water in the shower was warm at best, it never got hot enough for an enjoyable shower and the key cards were temperamental. We also had to “check out” our pool towels and return them. We were told it was because people steal them all the time. I’m not sure how that is my...
