"It’s a holiday inn so you know what you’re getting. The room wasn’t so bad, nice bathrooms and not many options in that area for foreigners. My issue is they were doing construction and it wasn’t mentioned when I booked. One of the days they shut off the power while I was in the building. The first day they were repaying and messed up my brand new shoes. My wife and I had cement on our stuff. Was insanely dusty and dirty because of construction. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in Beijing for a 10 days family vacation. I took a chance and booked us a location that was off the touristy spot where all the big hotels were - so glad I did - VUE is a hidden gem. We took to walking around the Hutong neighborhoods right away, my father loved his morning walks in Houhai Park which was right behind the hotel.
