This was a very interesting, yet strange place. On the one hand it had almost idyllic areas with swimming pool right next to the rooms, the beach just a few meters away, very much like paradise. Upon closer inspection, although the rooms are large, with kitchenette, you cannot necessarily use the facilities. Except for the refrigerator. We were the only ones in our area, which was very nice. Apparently they don't get a lot of people until the end of March, perhaps for spring break? The little restaurant/bar was okay. It had good drinks and mediocre food. Otherwise I'd say we really enjoyed just our one night stay there. We would recommend it.

We had a great stay here in a one bedroom suite. Spacious with a comfortable King size bed. The only drawback was that although the suite came with a usable Kitchen, no pots, pans, crockery or cutlery provided. We requested these items on our first day but the staff were unable to supply these items. We decided to buy what we needed. We then self catered for the rest of our stay. We only intended to do breakfast and lunch and have the evening meal in the restaurant. However out of principle we cooked our evening meals as well. So the hotel missed out on additional revenue from us, as a result of not supplying the basics required to use the Kitchen. SO COME PREPARED if you want to use the Kitchen. Shame!

Regarding utensils (glasses, plates, cutlery), these can be requested directly from the restaurant when required. We ask for a change of sheets ‘cause they were dirty, and they lied to us an didn’t change them. When I complained the manager made fun of me and told me to leave the hotel if I didn’t like it, instead of solving the problems. Then my husband came because he was not treating me nicely and he said he discriminated me and said he was going only to talk with him and not with me. The gender violence made me feel really angry and the dirtiness of the place is inconceivable.

Great hotel, just be aware that cruises stop by in a day pass for a few hours but not everyday, jose in reception is the best!!! Food is authentic and good, very clean, will go back soon. Just the cruise day get out of the hotel because busses come with cruise passengers to spend the day there as beach club all inclusive for them.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tecnobeach. The hotel staff were helpful and fluent in English. We were provided our own private taxi who kept the rate fixed for our drives down to Merida city. The rooms were clean and cozy with air conditioning. Great stay for your first time in Mexico.

Good, but could be better
The maids equipment looked old, they are doing well with what they have, but the hotel owners should update the cleaning supplies. The beds were not good at all, they offered little support. For someone with a bad back, they would not be able to move in the morning.

The room was spacious. The only complaint was the water pressure but I think that's the area in general. The food was really good at the restaurant and the staff was wonderful and pleasant. Would definitely stay there again.

This was a nice moderate beach hotel. A red tide made the beach smell very bad and the water unsafe (clearly not the hotel's fault). The pools were nice, but the pool bars were not open, but you could get a drink or food delivered from the restaurant. The rooms could use a bit of maintenance, but for the price paid this was a nice place to stay.

food at the restaurant is better than expected. rooms have a kitchenette and a sink, fridge, microwave, but not a single cup, or spoon, or anything whatsoever, if youd like to do anything. They must have disclosed, that this is a cruise stop hotel! i chose this location because i wanted to spend 3 days in a remote, out in the middle of nowhere, quiet place. BUT. cruise tourists arrived, and for 5 hours, they get to drink and eat all they want, so the pool area and beach bar, both had music blasting all afternoon. beach area, gang rap music. pool area, anything goes. happy for the tourists, but totally ruined my quiet and meditation trip.

Great location, excellent service.
This is a great hotel, wonderfully located right on the beach. Our room also opened onto the pool making it especially convenient. Our room was large and very clean. A/C and fridge worked great. Lots of chairs on the beach, several shade cabanas as well. Each night we had appetizers and drinks by the pool and later dinner in our room. The restaurant take-out was excellent. Everything was piping hot, sides and condiments were separated, and all was delicious. Especially liked the shrimp ceviche and the coconut shrimp... finally, the service was superb. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. We will definitley return to this property in the future. Wonderful location at a decent price.

The first night we went to have dinner at the hotel restaurant, everything was OK until we saw a big cockroach and then a small mouse running around the tables, at that time my wife was with her feets above a chair, really disgusting. This hotel advertises has having free WiFii and that is NOT what we found, they actually do NOT have WiFii at all and we were recommended to go to the nearby town to get some internet cafe. The rooms were OK but with the experience in the restaurant my wife was nervous to find out bugs in the bed (we didn't find anything) and the generally the installations were OK

Eine tolle idylische Unterkunft direkt am Meer. Toll fur kite-surfer, da es am Meer sehr windig ist. Unterkunft selber ist schon in die jahre gekommen und die küche besteht aus einem kühlschrank, etwas Besteck und einer Mikrowelle. Ein Restaurant ist auf dem Gelände. Wird überwiegend von einheimischen genutzt. Es gibt auch viele Tagesgäste fur den Strand- und poolbereich.
