Started off great and ended poorly

The hotel seemed great for a minute. The first front desk woman was kind and allowed us to hold our bags and pay for the spa to kill time since we arrived much earlier than expected. Pool and resting areas are very clean and nice. A lot of options to relax and not a lot of traffic. But when we checked in there was no AC so it was pretty stuffy and hot and never cooled down even with the windows open. The main issue was having the second person working at the front desk try and hold our food we ordered hostage. I am vegetarian so I opted out of their expensive buffet. We got no notice of our food being delivered. Only found out when we passed by the front desk walking around the hotel. The worker proceeded to vaguely threaten us saying we wouldn’t be treated so kindly next time we ordered food to the hotel because it was forbidden. Followed by her hesitating to go behind the counter where our food was being stashed as if she wasn’t going to give it to us. She then reiterated we needed to get our food out of sight to avoid her coworker also being unkind over what we ordered. It was extremely off putting given what we paid for the room and spa. Also there was nothing stated to us about this policy so we were blindsided.

Die Mitarbeiter sind super super freundlich und geben immer ihr bestes. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Die Lage war top, und das Hotel ist super um runterzukommen und auch für Achtsamkeit und Selbstfokus! Besonders ist auch das Live Cooking Buffet. Danke für einen tollen Kurzurlaub.

La struttura è molto bella, l’area della S.p.A. Fantastica, viene data in dotazione un kit. Peccato che per la tipologia di hotel non c’è un vanity set in camera nè un ferro da stiro.

Prettig hotel. De reservering voor het diner vond ik wat opdringerig en geven een urgentie die geheel niet nodig is. Daarbij is de prijs/kwaliteit van het eten totaal zoek. Diner geboekt voor 20 uur en de schalen eten van 18 uur stonden er nog, dus het eten was flink verlept. Live cooking 1 gerecht voor de pasta en 1 gerecht voor het vlees. En de prijs vonden we echt belachelijk. Verkeerde gintonics bezorgd. Dezelfde kregen we even later weer terug als zijnde de goede. Warm en de tonic had geen koolzuur meer. De vraag of het een feestelijke gelegenheid was positief beantwoord, dat schept verwachtingen, maar helaas niets. Ontbijt was trouwens wel perfect. Maar toch niet een heel fijn gevoel overgehouden aan dit prijzige hotel. Jammer

Schönes Hotel in Mettmann

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir wurden freundlich mit einem Welcomedrink empfangen. Das Zimmer (blaue Suite) war außergewöhnlich. Die Suite war sehr geräumig und gepflegt. In der Suite befanden sich eine Sauna (welche wir aber nicht genutzt haben) und ein Whirlpool. Einfach herrlich! Der Ausblick vom Zimmer in die Natur war ebenfalls wundervoll. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichlich und abwechslungsreich. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Der Pool bzw. die Poollandschaft war einzigartig. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt! Insgesamt waren wir vom Hotel begeistert!

Wie immer war’s im Landgut Höhne ein sehr toller Aufenthalt. Der Wellnessbereich lädt zum verweilen, schwitzen und schwimmen ein. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und das Personal ist stets freundlich.
