"Loved this historic hotel! It's in an EXCELLENT location. And so many other great attributes to this hotel, I would stay here again! Love the bag delivery from and to the ferry! Minimal walk to town, close enough you don't have to walk a mile or hire a carriage (both the Grand Hotel and the Inn at Stonecliffe are loong walks or carriage rides to downtown). But, you're close to the action without the noise and this is private. The hotel is located directly across from the beautiful yacht club docks, which has gorgeous boats and yachts. (This is NOT the commercial pier.) Does have a few stairs since the hotel dates back to early 1900's. We had the top floor dormered room, I highly suggest it! My husband is 6'2" and had no problem. Plus you have great views from the top! The foyer and lobby are gorgeous! And one of the top restaurants of the island is in the hotel! Great bar and drinks. Worth the stay. I did hit a snafu when checking in, which could have been my own fault when I reserved the room (queen versus king), but the manager was excellent and helped navigate us to a King-bed room. Thanks so much for such a great hotel!"
