"Very nice room- bed was very comfortable, quiet and clean. There were places for your luggage and toiletries. Really appreciate the night light in the bathroom - blue under counter lights ; and the assortment of hot drink choices with the kettle. Wonderful towels and water pressure. Only one rack for towels in the shower - I’d really like a little hook for towels near the sink. Also balconies are very close to neighbors. But love the comfy chairs in the room. Great sleep."

"The room we had had 4 single beds. It was kind of tight for 4 adults but it worked. They were clean and comfortable. We had a kitchenette which was handy. The communal bathrooms, kitchen, and sitting area were nice, clean, and comfortable. The laundry area was nice with fairly new washers and dryers. The washers included washing soap and so we didn’t need to buy any washing soap. The lake was just across the road and it was an easy walk into town. The only downer about the place was that we couldn’t get internet in our room. We had to be in the communal areas to get it. "

"Great location and good size room. Pretty view of the mountains. The only thing that was a surprise was that it was cash only, just wish I would of known before had so we wouldn't have and to go pull out a couple hundred for our stay."

"Beyond amazing! A marvelous trip in our last day in New Zealand. The weather in the Milford Sound was exceptional starting with rain during our drive which got all the waterfalls hyperactive; once we got on the Fiordland Jewel, the sky cleared and the sun shined for the duration of the trip with calms winds. The staff on the cruise boat from captain Francis to the crew Abby, Sarah, the cook Chris and Sunil were exceptional. One of the best cruises ever. We spent the night in the Captains suite with the boat anchored in a basin surrounded by 100 meter mountains on all sides. The sky was so clear which allowed for amazing pictures of the southern sky and all the stars unblocked by any light pollution or any cloud. It was truly incredible. "

"Staff is hospitable, have fan in the room for hot season, tv is not working but who need tv when you stay in beautiful scenery, and just find out on the second day they provide ice as well"

"We had a very good stay in a comfortable room and bed. We really liked the afternoon tea and drinks in the library upstairs as it brought guests together and made for a very pleasant evening. We were in the Bishops Retreat and thoroughly enjoyed the dressing up. A fun stay. Thank you "
