Pleasantly surprised

I had apprehensions when I drove in the area as the town was very dirty and the hotel seems to be at an entrance to a mine. When I entered the hotel I was however very surprised as it was clean and well maintained. The service was excellent and every employee that I met greeted me with a smile and immediately asked if everything was OK and if I perhaps needed anything. The room was massive and very comfortable and the food in the restaurant was delicious.

Keys never worked in doors so moved from family to a double where 2 of us had to sleep on the floor! Staff did absolute zero to help and didn’t care. Also a bar bill paid onthe night from other guest was put on my room which I had to pay knowing that the other table which was with us paid cash for it the night before.

A real find, conveniently located

I loved staying here. The staff were very helpful, check in was swift and efficient. Buffet dinner very good. My room was huge and very clean. Seems a secure place. Lobby was a bit tired looking and there is no lift but these are small things. Have stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels that don't match this one.

One night niggles!

The vent control motor in the air conditioning has a failed bearing. The water Piping system has a routing problem which results in in water hammers being set up and becoming very noisy. (It may be because the rooms have not been used for a while and the trapped air has nowhere to go!) These are not complaints but it says You must get the maintenance contractors in and give you a complete report on the status of the condition of each room. Don't let them charge you for this, check the tru

THIS HOTEL DOESN´T EXIST! BE CAREFULL

Hi, the past June 17th, 2010, I had a hotel reservation in the city of Pieterburg, South Africa, that I made on March 16th 2010 But, my surprise is that when I arrived to the city and the address provided, the hotel didn´t exist. We asked to a policeman and didn´t know about that brand hotel. We Even went to the tourist information booth of the city and they told us the same answer, this hotel doesn´t exists. They also told us that the area code in the phone number of the hotel Is not the one of the city, that´s why we couldn´t call the hotel. At that moment I made a call to expedia, and the person who attend us, also tried to contact the hotel without success. DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!
