Hotel Mediterranee is located on a smaller side street 7 minutes walk from the main Avenue and 5 from the beach, stone and shingle. On arrival we were shown to our room, overlooking the road on the upper floor, which was spacious and suitable for a family or extended family as it had a bed settee and connecting door to the adjacent bedroom - this was not very well sound insulated and noise form the TV did cause disturbance during the morning and evening when it was on. A telephone call to reception did result in a quick responce. The shower room was large with double sink and separate WC, very clean and modern. Breakfast was continental but with a very good selection of cereals, bread, meat and cheese with unlimited tea and coffee setting you up for the day trips out. The roof bar, open until 11.00pm, was very comfortable with settees for TV or drinks away from the breeze or a large open terrace with great views to the mountains behind Menton - sea views are restricted due to other buildings.. Overall I would definitely recommend the Mediterranee for its location and accommodation. Great for a weekend away and visiting Nice, Monte Carlo or the short trip to Italy and Sanremo from the train station a 10minute walk away.

Rooms, amenities and decor is average. Room was clean, beds comfy. Desk staff were multilingual (english, french, italian) - they were helpful and accommodating. Nice area close to restaurants (short walk). Terrace on the roof with a good sunset view and friendly bar staff. No sea views, but a 3 minute walk to the beach. Lifts. Parking on site.

Great location. We were unsure of the location at time of booking, and a large part in assisting our choice for this hotel were the reviews. The hotel is all you would expect and more. Less than a 5 minute walk to the beach, and very central to everything in Menton. The front desk reception staff are also excellent.

One night in Menton
We stayed for one night on our way to st Tropez. It was very convenient and we found the staff to be very helpful and the room comfortable. We were upgraded to a superior room which was nice but we felt this was due to the fact that there was no WiFi. There was a problem throughout the hotel. A bit frustrating but otherwise fine JS

The hotel staff was very, very nice and service was great. I was disappointed in the size of my room. I paid for an upgrade to have a view and discovered there's not much of a view to be had, plus with the extra money paid, i was surprised that the room was smaller than the cheaper one. Granted, i wasn't looking out over the AC unit anymore, which was nice, but i was disappointed. Be aware that Superior rooms are on the ground floor and 1st floor, the Privilege rooms are on higher floors. They were also doing construction the whole time we were there and that was annoying and took away from ambiance.

Good value for money. The room/bathroom was a little rough around the edges but it was clean and housekeeping came everyday. The bed was big and comfortable. The air con was a welcome plus. There was also a nice roof terrace and bar. The location was excellent.

Has everything you need! Great location just a few steps away from the town centre and close walk to the old town. Roof top terrace with beautiful views over the city. Lovely and clean. You are meant to leave your keys at the reception when you leave the hôte but I would advise to just bring them with you, the reception can be busy and on several occasions we were left waiting up to 15 minutes to get the keys for our room

We enjoyed our stay at the Quality Hotel Menton. Upon arrival we were upgraded to Privilige Rooms. When viewing both rooms, one seemed to be slightly better than the other, but we were happy to be upgraded. I'm not sure what the rooms would have been like without the upgrade. At the end of the day it's a 3 star hotel and for the price we paid we were happy. The bathroom was a bit dated and perhaps small details lacking. i.e. The room has clearly been decorated but there was a clear mark on the ceiling where the outline of the old wardrobe was. However unless you're really picky this wouldn't affect your stay! Location was really good, short walk to beach and old town with restaurants. Terrace with a bar is real bonus and really positive asset to the hotel. Staff were all very friendly and reception colleagues were polite and spoke good English. We didn't have breakfast or any meals at the hotel so cannot comment on these. If you can get the hotel at a reasonable price, then go for it!

Revelling on the Riviera
From the first moment I arrived in the early evening and was offered an iced tea by the two lovely receptionist staff to the morning I left 2 days later I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Menton. Admitedly the view from my balconied window was not of the mountains at the back of the Hotel but it was certainly peaceful and the view from the roof more than made up for that. Tea making facilities are always welcome after a long day of walking and the fridge meant that I could store my own drinks and food to keep them fresh. The Hotel is ideally located near to the shops and attractions along the shoreline and the railway station and Italian border are just a mile or so walking distance away. I will certainly be returning to this area next year and would not hesitate in highly recommending this Hotel.

Our stay at Hotel Eugenie was fantastic. Staff were very nice, and helpful. The area is absolutely the best! Only small complaint was the safe wouldn’t work and the staff weren’t able to fix it.

Very nice hotel
Our room was a Twin Superior on the ground floor at the back of the building. It was very clean and comfortable with a courtesy tray and kettle, including tea bags and a couple of portions of long life milk. The room was warm although the weather was exceptionally cold for the South of France. There was no noise from outside the room and a little terrace with table and chairs, accessible through patio doors. This would have been great in warmer weather. The bathroom was clean and modern with a shower above the bath, no problem at all with hot water. We were very lucky to be offered a breakfast deal at 5 euros a day, as breakfast was not included in our room rate. This was an excellent choice since there was a wide choice of food, everything delicious. The bread, croissants and pastries were freshly baked.The location is good, within a short walk of the seafront, shops, restaurants and everything of interest. The staff are friendly and courteous. I would recommend this hotel - I am surprised it isn't rated higher by other reviewers.

Convenient hotel in beautiful Menton
Clean modern hotel within easy walking distance of the old town. Lovely sun terrace on 7th floor which was great for relaxing and views over the town. Bar open in the evening. Breakfast was ok but serving salad items seemed a little strange. Only hot item available was hard boiled eggs. Coffee from a machine. Spacious bathroom which was very modern with a walk in shower/wet room idea. Lack of socket points was a problem for charging devices.

Great location.
We were revisiting the area after 10 years. Very pleasant hotel in great location. Good restaurants in walking distance of the hotel. Lovely room on the 5th floor. The only negative was the street noise so maybe a room towards the back of the hotel would have been quieter.

This hotel is ideally located by the coast, 800 yards from the train station and minutes from most bus routes. Breakfast very reasonanly priced and great choice although no hot food alternative did not have evening meal so cannot comment or judge but the menu looked to show a good choice with fixed €23 charge. free coffee in the room free safe too which i have not seen too often on my travels. Staff all friendly and eager to please. rooms cleaned to a good standard, fresh towelling and bedding each day. if it were for a hot food breakfast choice i would go 5 stars.

This hotel is in a very good location, but the room had a very badly stained carpet which was quite a bad look. Apart from that, the room was quite comfortable with a good bed and airconditioning. Some of the reception staff rarely seemed happy, and sometimes looked a little annoyed when we returned to the hotel and had to collect our key. Disappointing overall.

Convenient, clean and friendly hotel
this is the second time we have stayed here whilst attending the Monaco Yacht Show. We have already booked for next year also. The train station is 5 minutes walk and then Monaco is only a 12 minute train journey, very convenient. All of the staff speak English and try to assist you in every which way they can. very professional and friendly.

Clean and comfortable hotel
This was a great hotel for a quick stop over on the way to the Italian border. The room was clean and comfortable and they provided a very nice breakfast. Staff were helpful in assisting us to organise travel across the Italian border.

Nice hotel, close walking distance to the beach. Tasty buffet breakfast. Friendly staff; they speak at least 4 languages!
