From the moment that we checked in, Mike and May the owners made us feel at home. They are such friendly and helpful hosts. The cottage was up a flight of steps and Mike carried our cases up for us. Everything anyone could need was there. Spotlessly clean. A very comfortable bed. A sitting out area overlooking their gardens. A very safe and secure area from which we walked just a short distance into the town. Highly recommended.

Great stop off on Route 62 Klein Karoo

Great little town to stop off on the Route 62. Mile is a great host and very knowledgeable about the area. The room was comfortable, lovely big shower. Large breakfast in the morning.

A little piece of paradise.

What a fantastic B&B in a superb setting, wonderful gardens with some really colourful birds. A lovely pool area with comfy sun beds. Mike & May go out of their way to ensure your stay is perfect. Good breakfast with lots of choice. Thank you for a super stay. Look forward to returning soon.

A real gem

The second time we have stayed at this hidden gem May and Mike are perfect hosts full of useful info and always willing to help with advice and recommendations. The rooms are spotless, comfortable and complete with all home comforts Breakfasts are spot on - look out for Mike’s artistic fruit salads. Don’t make the mistake of only staying one night - stay two at least and chill out

Ruhige Lage mit hübschen Garten

Das Cottage war sehr gross und hübsch eingerichtet. Das Bad war riesig. Die Gastgeber May und Mike sind ausserordentlich nett. Dear Mike, thanks a lot for four wonderful Tipps. We Made both passed. Convenient, clean and relaxing

We had a lovely stay at this Guest House. The owners were very welcoming. Lovely tranquil gardens and great accommodation central to the town where you could walk at night to restaurants. Lovely breakfast. Owners engaging and gave lots of info on where to go and sea. We loved our stay in the area. Would definitely return

Colourful gardens

Very warm welcome from Mike, lots of information given about local restaurants. Our room was spacious and very romantic in character! Four poster bed! Breakfast in the courtyard garden with May adding a friendly cheerful atmosphere to the serving of the meal. A fabulous stay, in wonderful surroundings

Nydelig, lite hotell med hyggelig vertskap

Et lite hotell i klassisk stil med vakre rom. Vi bodde i anneks i hagen, også her flotte rom. Hagen er usedvanlig vakker. Vertskapet er veldig gjestfrie og hyggelige. Frokostservering ved langbord, så her gikk praten livlig med andre gjester. En hyggelig by, trygt å bevege seg ute, kort gåavstand til gode restauranter/kafeer. Nydelig natur, og mange vingårder som kunne besøkes. Vi benyttet egen guide for dette.

Wir wurden freundlich und nett empfangen und unser Gastgeber war die ganze Zeit bemüht, unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Die Zimmer sind riesig und urig. Vielleicht ein wenig dunkel, aber das passte zum Stil. Das Frühstück waar super. Frisches Obst und der Rest nach unseren Wünschen (Bacon & Eggs, Pancakes ...) zubereitet. Alles in allem ein gelungener Aufenthalt in einer Stadt, in der man allenfalls wegen des Transfers sehen muss ...

Not far to walk to talk with my Maker

Mike the owner of 7 Church Street, Montagu, is one of the nicest chaps one could meet. His kindness extended to cooking some chicken for my doggie and providing treats. The room was splendid, the bathroom well-appointed, and the service excellent. Great breakfast too. All in all a very pleasant and happy two nights at Mike's great little boutique B&B. Thanks and bravo Mike.

Lovely place to stay in a delightful town

Mike and May were wonderful hosts, I went for a cycle with Mike around the area which was very interesting. Our room was very good with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden. The place was very clean and facilities were excellent. If we return to South Africa we will certainly stay here again.

Jewel of a Guest House/B&B

We were given a fabulous welcome by Mike and a fantastic room. Had originally only booked for a one night stopover but stayed an extra night as it was such a lovely house and place in Montagu. Mike gave us really good suggestions on where to eat and his wife May was so nice and welcoming. Wonderful people - wonderful place to stay. Will certainly go there again when we next visit SA and would recommend to everyone.
