"This hotwl was an amazing place to stay! Daniel was an incredible host and took us on tours in their own brand-new private bus at a great rate, which made everything so easy. He even drove us back to San Jose and had a baby seat for our little one! The food was excellent, the rooms were much bigger than we expected, and the location was perfect. "This is a beautiful working farm set in the Cloud Forest with stunning views and a serene property. We had some of the best food on our trip here. Fresh, farm to table food, including the complimentary breakfast which was phenomenal, and the best coffee. Great location for adventuring around the area. Comfortable beds and rooms. Loved the on site brewery and restaurants, as well as the games available at the front desk for entertainment for the kids. The provided toiletries smells SO good. Only thing to note is it can be quite loud and there are no blackout curtains in the room. You are in the jungle so it's to be expected but we would advise to bring a sleep mask and ear plugs."

"You could stay here and experience so much the area has to offer! Zip lining is a bit pricey compared to other options in the area, but their breathtaking mountain views and incredible breakfast are worth it. The entire property is immaculately organized and clean, and I would definitely book again. The hot springs were fantastic, but I believe there might be better ones further down the road. Overall, I would give this place a solid 10 out of 10."

"Cloud Forest Lodge was a wonderful place to stay. The absolute standout was the restaurant—the food was exceptional, and the servers provided some of the best service we experienced during our trip. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made every meal enjoyable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the nearby hiking trails were beautiful, and the peaceful, quiet setting made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the cloud forest. We would happily stay here again."

"This was an amazingly beautiful hotel. We had the 2 bedroom villa which was newly remodeled with a full kitchen and gorgeous finishes. We saw a ton of wildlife right thru the huge windows in the living room and bedrooms. I will 1000% Stay here again when we come back. The check in was super quick and friendly and we came during afternoon coffee and it was delicious too! Can’t recommend this place enough!"

Lost Iguana Resort and Spa

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Lost Iguana Resort. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, especially Charlie who was our bellman. The breakfast buffet was incredible, a standout for sure. Staff in the restaurant were great, too. Our kids liked the pools, though the lower pool was very cold, too cold for me to enjoy. The hot upper pool was nice and hot! Our room was clean and the high ceilings made it feel bigger than it was. Our patio was very private and peaceful. We saw glimpses of the volcano from our patio, but only once saw it in full during our 5 night stay in July. The umbrellas provided by the hotel were clutch, definitely needed! They are numbered according to your room number. Unfortunately someone else took ours from the restaurant one night, but the staff brought them back to our room without us even requesting. I would’ve liked to use the gym in the morning, but it didn’t open until 10am - too late, we were already on to our adventures then. Our family really enjoyed the Puma Trek as well. It was a great length and we never saw anyone else on the trail! The location was a little farther from the main area, and my daughter got carsick on the windy roads. We generally prefer more secluded places, but next time we might opt for something closer to more restaurants."
