After having to bring our four suitcases up two flights of stairs, our room was incredibly hot. When we opened the windows to try to cool things off, we were met by several flies and other insects. “The property was undergoing a makeover, new carpets etc and was a little bit untidy in areas. Nonetheless to be expected during contractors working there. The staff, especially the manager, were extremely helpful and pleasant.”

“Such a beautiful house, and our room was fantastic. We stayed one night and the breakfast was delicious. No problem parking; the grounds were well kept. Jodi welcomed us, and even helped with dinner reservations. I loved the bathrobe touch, and the room was super cute. The price was a bit high, but we only stayed one night, so no discount for multiple nights . We really liked our short stay, and how close it was to walking to a restaurant.”

“Rooms were great, exceeding expectations considering its location in the countryside and cheap price. However, the owner should not be so aggressive about inconveniences caused by guests. If he thought we were too loud in our rooms, the owner should have simply said so. Barging in to our room without any warning or properly announcing himself(he just opened the door and came in his bathrobes) was unacceptable. “The lodge is beautiful in very peaceful area, it was very clean with everything we needed. We used it mainly for a base as we were traveling so only really slept there. The lodge is situated between 2 other properties and would benefit ( I’m my opinion) with blinds on all lower windows. The bed is very comfortable but a bit on the narrow side.
