Only stayed here one night but it was just what we needed. Clean property and room. Room was also spacious and comfortable. Easy check-in process. There is a microwave and coffee machine in the lobby available for use. Would stay here again.

The young man at front of house was very personable. Made a great sunset watching spot suggestion, as well as recommendations for dinner and what to enjoy at the Monterey Bay Aquarium that I was travelling to the next day. Plus the beds were incredibly comfortable and the room was bright and spacious. Great stay!

Loved my room - spacious and quite pretty and a pleasant enough view. Hotel manager was very easy to get a hold of, was patient, and was willing to help with custom arrangements. My room was next to the elevator but I never heard any extra noise and I have very sensitive ears. This particular room was also probably given to me because I had mentioned needing a room relatively close to an elevator because I had very heavy gear to haul back & forth. I appreciated that there was a communal microwave and was very!!! happy about the eco-friendly options of a communal filtered water, the compostable tableware and cups :D, and the bathroom fillables instead of individual bottles which create so much plastic waste. One thing for guests: be aware that there is just one person at the front desk so if things are super busy and one has special needs/physical handicaps, this may not be as conducive or as easy I am thinking…

Overall, great stay! No housekeeping/staff on site available 24/7. No microwaves in rooms. Housekeeping left previous stays soiled towels in room. Across the street is a cemetery… very loud at all times due to being off the highway.

The hotel clerk who checked us in (just before 10 pm) was super nice & friendly. The room was very clean and I absolutely loved the bed, it was very comfortable. It was nice & quiet... even being on the side facing Hwy 1 which really did not impact our visit negatively at all. My husband and I really enjoyed our time here. The rest of the staff was also friendly greeting us as we walked through the lobby each time. We would definitely come back and stay here agsin the next time we visit the coastal area.

Matthew was very efficient and helpful. We extended our stay by a day. Room was nice and clean. Nice coffee machine too, with lots of variety.

Our room was lovely, but the desk clerk was unable to print a form I needed--he didn't know the email address so I could send it to his computer. He finally put on his coat and walked out on me in frustration.

Everything was terrific. Large room and bathroom. Beds very comfortable. 4 perfect pillows. Very clean. It is about 23 min from downtown Monterey so much more affordable. I would stay again. Thanks!!

Checking in was a disaster. I was told my name was spelled wrong on the reservation (he was looking at someone else’s reservation). He also tried to tell me my address was wrong. Well, guess what? When he got the correct reservation my name and address were correct. Yes, I gave him my Driver’s License with my name and address clearly printed on it. I am still shaking my head. The property is clean and quiet and is reasonably priced.

I just want to thank everyone at the property for making our stay so nice. Super friendly staff. Room was clean and so nice. Something you never see that they have is the ability to pause, fast forward and rewind what your watching on the TV!! You never get that anywhere else. Thank you all so much!!

Close to Carmel/Monterey but far enough to enjoy the beach @ a reasonable price. HWY is busy but inside the room, relatively quiet. Large spacious room, very clean & modern.

Clean, cute, perfect location
Gentleman who checked us was very nice. Once we dropped our bags off in our room, we returned to the lobby to hang out and have coffee. Don’t miss on the coffee! Room was very clean (think you’re the first person to stay in a room that’s just finished with construction, room). Sparse in décor but we don’t come here to stare at the walls. The bed had a wonderful topper, couldn’t tell if it was down or alternative. Mattress was on the firm side, so the combination was magic. The location seems new, all but two storefronts were empty. One is a marine mammal conservancy; the other a cookie & ice cream shop. Don’t miss either! Stayed during a spring storm, the frogs incredibly LOUD. Neither of us heard them while indoors. Was a cool experience. All the staff we met during our time there were a happy, treated us as friends

Bathroom was shooting out cold air the whole time. My room price went down about significantly after I reserved my room within 24 hours and no one - Hotels.com nor the hotel manager/owner could do anything about it!!! How does that happen? We've stayed here at the hotel several and price was fair. This time they played us like a ping pong ball. Shame on you all!

Needed a place to stay between Monterey and Santa Cruz. this little hotel came up and the reviews all said the same thing. Looks basic but is very nice inside. I arrived at night and it looks basic and not very well lit, as described. after taking a little walk I found the lobby (in the middle of the buildings) you cant see the lobby from the parking area. Went to the room and found it to be clean, spacious and comfortable. It is also a 1 minute drive to the beach. Would stay again.

This is a great little hotel! We chose it because of the location, and we were really impressed with how comfortable, clean, new, and quiet it was. We also appreciated the text message about check in & the local restaurants, and the free coffee (espresso, lattes, cappuccinos!) In the lobby was really cool!
