"Rooms very comfortable and clean. Location is great, only a short walk to Plymouth Hoe. Off street parking close by was reasonably priced at 4 pound overnight. Breakfast was good and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. I would stay here again if I was in Plymouth again."

"The unique thing about the Halfway House Inn is that it is truly dog friendly, no rip off £15 - 20 a night charge that we got at all the other hotels/pubs we stayed in on our 18 days away. We were made to feel welcome with our dog and not treated like 2nd class citizens"

"Our room was excellent and staff helpful. Lots of roadwork happening near the hotel so no convenient place to park & unload. No on site parking, used public car park 5 minute’s a way at £13 per day. Public transport, buses, at the door were excellent."

"Hotel was lovely. Very clean, staff friendly and helpful. Family room was spacious and comfortable. Location was perfect. Was able to park the car and walk everywhere.
Being able to use the pool was great but I would suggest they had a swimming lane. We went after 8am due to having children but we all wanted to swim lengths. By 8.10 the pool was full of families with children with no respect for swimmers which was disappointing. Overall a lovely night away and I would definitely stay there again. "
"Room was clean, staff were all very friendly and helpful, we couldn’t find the underground carpark, but sainsburys was close and no problem there. Really nice touch having a fridge in the room. The only thing missing for me was ice. It was available in the bar which was open til half 9, but we got back late after a show at pavilions, and I have a huge addition to ice cubes! I got through it so it’s okay, it’s just a personal thing, there’s always tea and coffee, but I’m yet to find a hotel to accommodate the need for ice late at night!
Although we didn’t eat, the food smelled great as we passed by and having looked through the menu, very reasonably priced too.
Thank you all for a very comfortable stay xx"
"On entering the hotel from the limited car park through the scaffolding and into the rear of the hotel we thought it was going to be a let down but the room was large clean and very relaxing although dated. Breakfast was very nice well cooked and of a good quality. The reception staff were very nice and welcoming so we left feeling happy and relaxed 😊 "
"Did not like the pub closing for drinks at 8:00pm and closing completely at 9:00pm, spoiling a really fantastic venue. I’ve not known anything like it.

"I would not stay at any property managed by Pure Serviced again. The property was filthy and very tired. They arranged a boiler inspection after we had already booked and paid. The boiler subsequently started leaking at 4am the second night. I phoned their emergency number at 7.30am. No response. I called the Pure Serviced office number just after nine. No response. The Emergency plumbers turned up at 10.am. Subsequently isolated water supply and said the hot water would be off at least a day. Pure serviced eventually called back and offered another apartment in the same building. A young girl came over with the keys and we packed everything up and moved to the new apartment. It gets worse!! The apartment had not been cleaned or beds made from previous tenants. She said they could get the room cleaned in a couple of hours!! Enough was enough and we said no thanks and we had to go to their office and ask for a refund for that night which they refunded but said the refund would take up to five days. At time of writing this review we have not received our money back. We then had to try and find somewhere else to stay for that night. "
