The stay was very good , hotel was quite , due to the time of the year. Very helpful with local information that i needed in connection with my business trip. choice of breakfast food was good. rooms clean .

Lo mejor, el buffet. El arroz con leche, buenisimo, exquisito, un 10. Las camas duras y los almohadones muy finos. La ventana no cerraba bien.

Disappointing stay - Hotel Traina
Disappointing. Breakfast AWFUL. Breakfast room dreadful, conference room. You have the potential to have breakfast on the roof in a covered area with a view … why not use it? Breakfast waiter - miserable! Hot food was cold and greasy. Choice was limited. Hotel foyer and corridors pleasant. Hotel room very dated. Terrace awful (bearing in mind you pay extra). Terrace should have parasol and loungers as minimum and safety glass in between terraces should not be cracked - this gave an unkept appearance. On the one and only plus side, Reception staff were pleasant and (American/Canadian night porter was a delight!).

(4th floor) I have stayed at the Traina on a number of occasions. It is usually a very good hotel. On this occasion the swimming pool had been drained for maintenance and I wasn’t notified by this which was disappointing. The room French doors were very difficult to open and close and two freestanding lamps weren’t working. Everything else was to the normal high standard.

Se debería controlar el aforo de la piscina, no puede ser que pueda entrar cualquiera sin filtrar si están alojados o no en el hotel. Era muy agobiante y el único día que fuimos se llenó de gitanos. Nos tuvimos que ir. La escalera de acceso a la piscina está torcida y resbala al poner los pies en ella

Supuestamente hay wifi en todo el hotel pero casualmente a nuestra habitación no llegaba, si intentabas conectarte en otro sitio a veces se conectaba y a veces no, si tenías suerte y se conectaba tardaba un siglo e iba extremadamente lento. Las almohadas mediocres, las sábanas no las cambian, lo se porque la sábana de abajo estaba rota y estuvo así los 6 días de la estancia. Pocos platos a elegir en el buffet, sobretodo postres que siempre eran los mismos, además si en otro restaurante que tienen cara al público había mucha gente, el buffet queda desabastecido y no reponen los platos. Eso sí, la comida estaba muy buena. El personal del buffet era muy agradable, al contrario que los de recepción que ni si quiera saludaban (excepto el turno de noche) Limpieza de 10.

Really lovely little hotel
The staff couldn’t have done more for us. We had such a mare when we arrived to San Pedro, leaving keys to our house back in the UK and having to book a last minute hotel. Thankfully we relaxed as soon as we stepped foot into Traíña. Reception staff were lovely. Allowed us to check in early, upgraded our room to a huge terrace, explained where everything was and how it all works. Made us laugh and feel so much better about our situation! Rooms were super clean and spacious, friendly housekeepers in the morning, aircon units were clean and refreshing, fresh towels every morning. Small fridge in the room to hold your waters. €10 deposit per pool towel which they allow you to take to the beach as well. Small rooftop pool with sun loungers - this was a lovely view of San Pedro! Friendly evening reception staff who are always happy to chat. Oh and location! Surrounded by restaurants, 15min walk to mar menor and salt lakes, small fairground at the bottom of the road with evening markets. Spoilt for choice in terms of bars, cafes and restaurants. Overall we would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area, they couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel so welcome. Thank you!

It was hard to find fault with the hotel, which is very clean with friendly staff. Our (rear) room was spacious, the large bed was very comfortable with a good-sized panoramic sunny balcony. Very good sized bathroom with bath/shower, excellent water pressure and hot water always available. Breakfast cereals could be improved upon but there was a good range of other hot and cold items to choose from. The roof-top (unheated) pool is open all year, and offers panoramic views around the area. The sun loungers need renewing, but this could be on-going maintenance for the summer months. Parking was quite expensive at €8 per day for the hotel underground car park and a discounted rate for staying longer at the hotel could be offered at €5 per day. There is always street parking available which is safe and free. Restaurants are limited in the immediate area within 10-15 minutes walk, but are available further afield.

This place was fantastic for customer service. They really went out of the way to be helpful. They insisted we moved to a nicer room!!! Nice pool on the roof but uncomfortable sun beds and out of season so no covers available. Breakfast is not worth it, go down to the local panaderia instead. Fabulous coffee and amazing staff made it a great stay. Rooms are basic but comfortable. It's not a 4 star but very clean, great staff and good location
