โDisappointed to have pre booked supper requesting a window table to be sat in the middle of the restaurant.
The shower needs attention! The shower rose was so blocked you couldnโt use it, it was leaking from the arm joint, and the handheld was exactly that, you had to hold it as the riser rail was broken!
Luckily I have a soft spot for this hotel and the geese will always make you smile in the car park โ

โWe are an elderly couple & had a four hour journey through difficult weather.
A staff member happened to be outside when we arrived & unasked, helped with parking, unloaded our luggage & took it to our room. On registering we were invited to rest in the lounge, served tea & assisted with telephoning. The room was very comfortable & clean. Breakfast excellent. All the staff were well turned out, friendly & helpful. On departure our luggage was carried from our room & placed in our car. โ
โThis was an unscheduled stop on route to Cornwall due to bad weather. What a pleasant surprise, a beautiful old Inn a short distance from the A30. The staff were friendly and helpful, great service a lovely evening meal and an excellent breakfast. We will definitely be returning with hopefully better weather.โ

โThe staff were wonderful, and the location can't be beat. We unwound each night with a half-pint on the beautiful terrace that is set along the riverbank. The building is a lovely old hodge-podge of levels. We were at the top of it, which involves a stairs-climb that could be hard for some. There is ample parking (very welcome!).
