Disappointing and inexcusable hotel stay
The Hotel description on Hotels.com doesn’t reflex that the hotel is a co-op property and each unit is privately owned and amenities are controlled by the owners. Room 808 did not have coffee, tea, water, slippers, robes or even Kleenex as described on Hotels.com. Pet allergies were immediately activated when my husband and I stepped into the room— throat swelling, itchy eyes, runny nose. Upon calling the front desk, the night clerk stated that ALL the units were pet friendly and changing units would be useless. The hotel description states pets are restricted to certain areas— not accurate as per front desk. Be warned if you have allergies to pets or dust. Also, the televisions were difficult to operate and had extremely limited channels A television operating manual or channel guide were absent in the unit. The breakfast buffet was also disappointing, the offerings ran out constantly and guests were left waiting for items. At a $600/ night room rate, this stay was completely inexcusable and disappointing. We will not return to this hotel on any future trips to NYC.
