  • Never been to Exhibition Park for about 35 years! Wylam brewery have took over the old Science museum and have made a stunning job. This was taken before sunrise. Enjoy, it’s well worth a visit if your in the area to wander and read about the history of the park on the information boards. This was the North’s answer to the Crystal Palace in London

Great room friendly staff,nice breakfast get the full breakfast as you can have anything from the continental for free. Easy check in check out. Well worth the money. A little out the city centre.

Perfect stay

I was working away at the racecourse so the location was brilliant! The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was big and exactly what I needed for my stay. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice, my only feedback would be that a coffee machine at breakfast would be great. Evening meals were cheap and cheerful.

Good for short stay

I stayed for 1 night whilst i had work at the hospital close by. It's above a pub but you can't hear the noise. Just a little bit of road traffic. The bed is comfortable and it's clean. Check in and check out was easy.

Nice friendly pub with good choice of beer and pub group. Rooms clean and adequate with twin beds so would be a squash for two people. Stairs would be a probkem for anyone with mobility issues.

90's baby festival

Our twin room was perfect for my friend & I. The room was lovely, well presented, clean & basic, all we needed really. Beds very comfy, lovely & warm, but in muggy august weather i had to keep pulling the covers off! Wouldn't be an issue in colder months. Even though it's located on a busy road i didnt experience any noise, i slept really well. Breakfast was great. Plenty of free parking. Purpose of our trip was to attend the 90's baby festival so we didn't go into the city centre, unable to comment on how easy it is to access.

Gemma is a credit to the corner house

Stayed at the corner house as my daughter was back in hospital having heart surgery and i just want to say a massive thank you to Gemma who checked me in, your empathy and kindness truely shown during this awful time for me and my family. Honestly made a traumatic time less stressful and i can not thank you enough, wish more people were as kind and considerate as you, you are a credit to the corner house! The double room was also very clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious too. Hopefully wont need to go back to the hospital but if i do i will definately be booking the corner house again. Thank you very much

Needs inprovement

Check in was slow, there is no manned reception desk, man who checked us in didn't apologise for our wait and wasnt interested in doing anything but a basic check in. Room was basic but bed comfortable, didn't look like the pictures and in need of an upgrade. Breakfast both days wasn't great, service terrible seems to be understaffed with food hot but under cooked the first day and over cooked and cold the second day. Room gets along of road noise from the main road outside however we were able to sleep well.

Nice, friendly hotel / pub

A Warm welcome, pleasant clean room with a bit of road noise from.the bathroom window but this was fine with the door closed. Staff are friendly and helpful. Tea, Coffee etc in the room was great and the room is cleaned daily if required. We had a great stay and will visit again.
