As a football fan, it was great to stay at a place with such a close association to the professional game. The grounds and buildings there were very grand and impressive. I stayed at the main house with a sprawling set up providing space for work on my laptop and a big bathroom with a cracking shower. I decided to use the gym which was functional but somewhat underwhelming considering the backdrop. I dined at the restaurant being served by an amazing lady who was also on the front desk and made you feel at home. The meal was really good and I had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was a little disappointing as the ingredients were not of a high standard but overall I enjoyed my stay there.

I had a twin room and the bedding on my bed had black marks on, as did two of the towels. The breakfast was great but the rooms were utilitaruan, not what you would expect for the price. The hotel is great for a sports venue and the grounds are lovely but not for the general public looking for a luxury stay as the rooms are too basic. I won’t be staying again.
