I joked with my mother that I would likely have my organs harvested in the night.
It's clearly an old, tired motel.
But it's not in a dangerous or shady area.
I met several of the staff members, and they were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. (I couldn't make my TV work, and the guy at the front desk walked down to my room and got it going in 30 seconds.)
The room was old and beat up. But everything was meticulously clean, and that's what I care about.
Free breakfast in the morning wasn't gourmet, but it was free and included sausage patties, eggs, toast, juice, etc.
You shouldn't bring a date here, but if you need a cheap place to crash for the night, it's perfectly fine.

Small fridge and microwave in the room
Cons:
Both beds in my room were not very comfortable; it wasn't a deal breaker, but they were pretty hard and felt old
They used some spice-scented room deodorizer. It wasn't super flowery offensive, but I wasn't a fan.
The furniture and walls and flooring and fixtures are long past their best before date.
