Château de Baclair offers beautiful, comfortable accommodation in a historical French castle with gorgeous country-side surroundings. The living area is spacious and clean while retaining authenticity and rural charm. The various amenities made available were more than enough to allow us to stay fresh and clean, cook proper home meals and generally relax as if we were in the comfort of our own home.
The host family is discrete and professional, yet charming and personal, just the right balance to make us feel welcome and secure as visitors. When we had questions about the chateau's history as well as the sights and goings-on in the nearby area, they were more than helpful.
They also run a large antiques dealership from the chateau, which is reflected in the beautiful decoration of our living space, and also made for some fun and inspiring browsing through their vast stock of antique furniture, art and other items.
As a couple dreaming of a romantic and genuine countryside getaway in a dreamy chateau in Normandie, Château de Baclair left us with all our hopes fulfilled at a very reasonable price. We can't wait to be back and would definitely recommend it to others.
