Thank goodness my dau speaks German, had internet access on her phone and the skills to locate the owner who gave her the passcode to get the room key out of lock box. "Excellent hotel! The location is ideal for the main historic and cultural sights of Braunschweig, and is even walkable from the railway station (if you don’t mind a 35+ minute walk). Plenty of shopping and dining options in area, including a terrific bookstore just across the street. My room was large and airy, extremely quiet. Front desk folks were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Loved staying here, will come back for sure!"
