This property is well situated for walking into town for meals and shopping. It is a little tired,the showers don't work to well, but the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need to self cater, and the beds were clean and comfy and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay the staff are lovely but the property is exaggerated - there is no orchard just an avocado tree and some bananas growing- we booked an executive room with spa tub but got a normal room with shower - the resort is well positioned for walking to shops and restaurants and staff organise a car and tours for you which is lovely

Basic but good

Perfectly acceptable. Large individual accommodation with everything one needed. No restaurant on site but some excellent ones within walking distance. Car was supplied with insurance payable.

Tema and her staff were fantastic and were willing to do all they can to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were immaculately clean, however the property in general could do with an update. Cumberland is easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Make sure you book tours through Tema, allow her to weave her magic!

I travel to Norfolk often for work and will not be staying anywhere else after experiencing Cumberland Resort. Tima and her team are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The villas are perfectly maintained and spotlessly clean. Lovely modern kitchen and BBQ on the deck if you get sick of eating out.

Well located at the end of the main shopping street. Out unit was spacious with all the amenities eg cooking, foxtel, car provided for the cost of insurance only. Owner Rael, manager Tima and all other staff are friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

Good stay

Had a two bedroom two bathroom Villa. Good as we could do our own breakfast and lunches. Plenty of room with outdoor alfresco as well. Close to town - five minute walk. No air conditioning had ceiling fans in bedrooms. Needed one in lounge room. Staff were excellent very friendly and helpful.

This is a lovely place, very clean and comfortable. The owners have thought of everything, including a picnic set with thermos and the first morning's breakfast. It was easy to organise tours and dinners and a short walk to shops and cafes.

Needs improvement but tima a big asset

If it wasn’t for the good natured Tima, the resort mgr,, then I probably would be somewhat hesitant in staying. I used half a can of mortein with 3 cockroaches in the bathroom walls and one scurrying across the bed head ledge on my first night. Then l had clusters of ants in my luggage so when I took clothing out each day, t would have to shake it out. There are no provided drawers for clothing. Also photos on websites of the Cumberland do not show clearly all the areas of the resort. To feature the ‘White House’ a large house in a completely different location some 10 minutes by car away should be kept in mind. Look overall ueah ok but needs improvement

My husband and I loved the resort and what they provided in the units . Temar was amazing treating us like long lost family. our only complaint was that our unit was not serviced we ha to ask for a linen change as it was so hot we were sweating in bed so the sheets and towels were very manky. plus we were on holidays and still had to sweep the floors wipe over the floors as well what they provided in the unit was amazing we just would have liked our unit at least serviced teicw during our weeks stay.

Still a great place to stay in Norfolk!

Norfolk Island is a lovely, quaint place to visit and the Cumberland Resort and Spa is a perfect base to see the Island from. It's a short walk into the heart of town so you don't need a car if you don't want to, but a car is available and included in your accommodation costs if you'd like to explore more (and you should!). You just need to pay insurance costs. The accommodation itself is very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff are amazing. Rael, Tima and the team are extremely welcoming and helpful and will go out of their way to ensure your stay is enjoyable.
