Good but not great
Great service, good location. BUT Heat was not working so had to get extra blankets and space heater. Front office was prompt in addressing problem when we reported it however we learned this was reported before but hadn’t been attended to so this room should have not been offered.

The location is great. The rooms could use some TLC and refreshing, they definitely show their age. It would also have been helpful to know in advance that the room I booked was only accessible via a steep set of outdoor stairs.

The pool area and restaurant are very nice, but we made the mistake of booking a "basic" room, which was literally the size of a jail cell, with no view whatsoever. Even though we arrived before noon on a Sunday, we were told there were no rooms with a balcony available, which was hard to believe. I'd strongly advise against booking the "basic" room. Also, the surrounding area wasn't very appealing. The adjacent Playa del Coco has muddy sand and murky water, as do the other nearby beaches, Playa Ocotal and Playa Hermosa, all of which also lack any rental chairs, umbrellas, or other basic facilities. The beaches (and hotels) farther south are better.

Location is at entrance of Ecola State Park. Loved to be able to run out front door and into park.

Dishwasher needed! Please update!
Great lodge with cleanliness and convenience to town. Please put a dishwasher in the units, especially family units that sleep 6-8. An update with a dishwasher would be wonderful. This will be a determining factor on returning to Ecola Lodge.

Nothing fancy about the property but clean and roomy room. Location is the end of town and bit away from main street. We walked to Haystack Rock during low tide in the morning and coming back walking on the main street, had a wonderful breakfast at Pig'n Pancake.

Quiet, cozy, comfy - everything you want in a stay on the Oregon Coast Feels secluded but within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and the beach. Room was spacious and comfortable. We will stay again!

We loved the quiet and privacy and all the space. The staff was wonderful and helpful. The only negative was the Roku TV often would not work, probably due to so many people accessing internet at the same time. We would definitely stay at this location again

A little dated, but impeccably clean. Since COVID, every hotel we stay in seems to have given up on cleanliness. This was clean one end to the other. Great staff. Quiet location, walking distance to everything without being in the noise. Highly recommend.

Ecola lodge is old and run down, but for the price it can't be beat. It is comfortable and quiet, it's a walkable location, it's close to the beach, and staff are friendly and helpful. I would stay there again

Excellent location, staff and service. Washrooms are nicely set up for beach activities with lots of towel bars and places to hang swimsuits. There's no A\C but the fans were sufficient to cool down the room at night. The cookies, boardgames, picnic tables and chairs and koi pond are a nice touch.

Room was large and lodge is in a quiet location away from the busy tourist centre of Cannon Beach. The beds are a little warn out, as is the bathroom. We liked the pond and seating area outside and the staff was accommodating with providing extra fans when the weather was very hot.

Pros.This is a very charming hotel. The garden is beautiful!!! Our room was spacious. The chocolate chip cookies upon our check in was such nice welcome, after a long drive. The staff was responsive to our needs. Cons.There’s no AC but they provide a fan. The room can get very warm during the day. It’s not too close to Haystack rock but walkable.

We loved our stay here. The room was comfortable and quiet. The location was great for us, we could walk to the beach or into town. If we chose to drive, it was close to everything. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The lodge is older but I loved it! Not much parking but somehow it works out. Overall, it was clean and quirky! When we wanted to shop or eat, we drove because it’s not centrally located in Cannon Beach but there are plenty of free parking lots available . I would stay here again!

The room was quite large and it was quiet. Haystack rock is walkable from here, just about a mile out. The room itself was a little dated and could have been cleaned a little better (the bathroom) but overall, just to sleep and change it was a great spot.

Very reasonably priced. We stayed three nights . It was basically a small one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. You will not need to eat out unless you want to.
