"From the moment we arrived to handing the room keys back on departure we were made to feel welcome by the host / the owner. No issues, good knowledge of where to eat, excellent breakfast, best coffee, excellent bakery items from the local bakery next door. Even let me leave my car outside after departure whilst we looked around the beautiful town. Mayenne is a lovely place, a very relaxing atmosphere with lovely views overlooking the river."

"What a fantastic stay, the hosts were so welcoming, we enjoyed a welcome drink with them on arrival and they politely smiled through my broken French. The treehouse was a fantastic surprise with everything we needed, comfy beds, drinks in the mini bar and soft towels. We enjoyed use of their pool too. The views were incredible and lots of lovely, friendly animals which our daughter enjoyed meeting and feeding. The morning breakfast was delivered up to us from the host on a pulley and rope, such a fun experience and with beautiful, homemade cakes, Jams and perfectly cooked eggs, we couldn’t have asked for more. We couldn’t recommend this place more highly. Thank you"

"Stayed two nights with two kids. Pool area was great. Didn't feel packed. Needed a reservation for dinner at the hotel restaurant, but dinner choices were excellent. Staff were all helpful. Rooms did get a bit warm and we were there when it was slightly cooler out, but windows could open adequately enough to get a breeze. It's a bit remote, which we read in another review so we expected that, but can feel a little isolating. The little town is great."

"This appears to be a re-badged Campanile hotel which has just had Campanile signs changed to Design Inn. As such it provides good basic, no frills accommodation. The one difference with Campanile is that this hotel does not provide dinner but is very close to a Buffalo Grill which is conveniently located for dinner. There were various places where old Campanile signs had been removed but not well repaired so it gives the impression of not being well cared for. The staff were very helpful and found a secure place to store my bicycle. The breakfast was fine without being exceptional."
