How can I put words on THE most incredible stay of our lives? This Castle has it all. We stayed in the double tower romantic room 23 and it was amazing. The view was breathtaking, the service was unmatched. We arrived at almost 11pm at night because of road and weather delays and they were kind enough to let us in. Nothing was overlooked when staying in this place. If you can stay two nights, do so, or get there right at check in. The museum is free to guests and there is an incredible garden (that we didn’t have time to see because we were SO late getting in from constant rain on the road) the bedroom design really made you feel you were back in time, but with electricity and an amazing bathtub.
Bubble bath, shampoo & soap were all there, plus drinks. The breakfast was unmatched. Plenty of photo opportunities and everywhere you look you see a historical presence perfected. Can not thank the hotel staff enough for the evening, only regret is getting there late. For those with access needs you can only take the elevator so far up, the tower has steep stairs and so does the museum** make sure to communicate with them if you require a room that doesn’t have stairs speak with staff before booking.
Food: breakfast was stunning, you will not go hungry a buffet full of options and a staff that is traditionally dressed, kind and helpful.
