Inexpensive motel less than a block from the boardwalk and beach. The pool was small but fun and the only place to swim due to the jellyfish swarm in the ocean during our trip. The rooms are clean and easy to access. Ice machine was out of order and you have to check in/out at another motel down the street, but overall a good place for the price and proximity to the beach.

The room was clean and the location is great for the price. However, because the prices are more affordable, there are certain crowds who stay there and don’t care about their noise level, watching their children in the pool, smoking, etc.

The Empress is now owned by The Saraha Hotel group. The room was very clean, the cleaning and ground personal are helpful, but speak little English. The check in process was a nightmare. No organization at all. Totally inefficient and unorganized. Other than check in it is a nice little hotel nothing special for the price. It was a very clean motel with a pool for the price.

Great hotel for a budget price. But there were problems with wifi. Close to the beach, restaurants and entertainment. The room is cozy, has everything for a comfortable stay. Air conditioning works perfectly . Convenient location of the hotel .

Really good value! I stayed for the weekend with my husband and it was well matched for our needs. Could use some updates (bedding, outlets, lighting), but it was very clean, a short walk to the boardwalk/beach, and checkin and checkout was a breeze.

Clean room, but had some mold/mildew on the ceiling area. Cleaning/maintenance staff was kind of loud, yelling to each other. Great boardwalk location; you're a half a block from beach and boardwalk. Clean bathroom. Pool was clean. It's not perfect, but I would stay here again. Great value spot.
