"Absolutely top class, quirky Boutique hotel. Great room, very spacious. Superb shower. Fantastic breakfast. We also enjoyed the Jazz in the Cocktail Bar in the evening. Impeccable Standards of Service from all the staff. Really pleased we opted for this hotel over the Fairmont Frontenac."

"I stayed in an economy room which was clean and i knew would not have a lot of amenities, so in some ways it met my expectations. The location was great and staff was fantastic. However, if you are on the bigger size this may not be the room for you as everything is very compact. I at least expected a table and a chair in the room...got the chair not the table, so you have to sit on the bed if you are eating anything. The layout of the bathroom was also wierd, as the toilet and shower was In a separate room ( as expected) but the sink was next to my bed. This meant when I used the toilet I had exit that room and come to the sink by my bed to wash my hands. Also, breakfast items never change, there is absolutely no variety, not even using the same ingredients but making different dishes on different days! I do have to say the the croissants were magnificent. Also, rolom cleaning can go as late as 5pm, so you return from your tour but your room is not cleaned. I have never experienced room cleaning happening so late. The negatives I mentioned above should not stop you from booking...staff is extremely friendly and quick to respond, the hotel is conveniently located ( 5 min to restaurants etc) and if you are not planning to be in your room for any length of time, the layout can be ignored. The rooftop terrace was also great. I was NOT disappointed in my stay ( hence the 4 stars) but simply giving a realistic review to set expectations for anyone else booking this type of room."

"The hotel is very beautiful yet very old. Our room was excellent in every way and was completely silent at all hours. The staff were delightful and very helpful. The hotel had a very nice 24 hour accessible lounge with fruit and fancy coffees. The location was perfect with numerous shops and restaurants within a very short walk. The architecture of the area was excellent. Quebec City and this hotel rivals the European cities we have visited."

"Property was in an excellent location, just steps away from Place Royale, Petite Champlain, and funicular. Only complaint was the breakfasts, which cost a flat $26 for cold cuts, cereal, juice and croissants. I suggest adding pancakes and bacon. Other than that, an excellent choice of hotel."

"The hotel was perfect for our stay . We were 2 adults and 2young children. The room was perfect for us…plenty of room . There was a jacuzzi in the room also. First try to use it was a little confusing, but staff helped out with that promptly. The hotel is in a good location, close to everything we wanted to do in the Old City👍. Parking was in a garage which was just down the street and around the corner. Very close & convenient."

Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac

"Had a long wait to check into our room. The attendant said that do to a late check out our room was not yet ready. Also, we chose a room with a city view and our one small window looked decently at the roof. But it was clean. Shower had a nice large rain shower head and pressure was good. Even received a turn down service unexpectedly. Would stay here again but it was pretty expensive."
