"We chose this location because it was easy access to the city by car. Room size was generous, and clean. Hotel and restaurant owned by a family. Breakfast was good, included eggs to order. Restaurant across the street serves typical Slovenian fare - great portions and price. "

"Beautiful country side location. We were so unlucky with the weather, it was raining all the time and we couldn't really enjoy everything that the property had to offer. Alexandra, one of the owners, was great, what a kind person! Room was beautiful and super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and eggs cooked to order. I hope one day I have the opportunity of staying here again but with sunny days!!! :) "

"Hotel Loka was absolutely amazing. Extremely clean, with service that would rate a five star hotel. To start we arrived bedraggled, and starving after a very long train trip from Germany. Sasha greeted us checked us in and even gave us a ride to the city center in her own car so we could get some food in us. This type of service is rarely found anywhere. If you decide to visit Skofja loka please stay here. Also it’s a bit tough to get into skofja loka from the train call Marco and his taxi...

"Don’t let the term hostel deter you from booking this wonderful hotel. While they do have bunk rooms with shared bathrooms, we booked a beautiful room with ensuite bath. It was quiet and extremely clean. The location of the hotel is walkable from train or bus stations and is in the heart of the historic area of a lovely town. The view from the hostels back terrace and our bedroom was amazing. "
