Overall experience was okey and if you need a quiet place, this is the right place to relax and enjoy the quietness. Friendly staff. on a negative side, property is a bit in a state of a decay and probably needs renovation. No basic necessities like bottled water or coffee machine inside the room.

the property is located near to a cliff and needs some updating. Weather was very windy and rainy when we arrived. I have to put towels on the bottom of the door to prevent the cold wind coming in the room which makes the room very cold. Glad we have asked for extra blanket, but the blanket is not sufficient. Staff are very nice and accommodating. Food is good.

We recently stayed at Alta Vista Ilocandia Hotel after an exhausting 8-hour drive, hoping for a comfortable place to rest. Unfortunately, the hotel was a big letdown. The property is poorly maintained and looks very tired and unkept. The rooms and overall facilities clearly need a lot of improvement. We didn’t have many options upon arrival, so we had no choice but to stay. It’s disappointing when expectations don’t match reality—especially after such a long trip. On a positive note, the views from the hotel are absolutely stunning. The natural beauty of the area is a saving grace, but sadly, it’s not enough to make up for the quality of the accommodation.

View of Sea was nice. Hotel is not 3 Star. Beach is non-existent. It is rocky waterfront. Dangerous to try and swim. Internet non- existent in room or in restaurant as advertised. Have to sit in front of reception desk to get signal. Restaurant minimal selection. Far from everything and hotel has nothing to offer. Checked in, went to eat at restaurant and checked out a couple hours later. Trying to get a refund for the 3 days prepaid. Staff was ok

Needs more improvement

The amazing part of the stay is the beach view and corals. However, the hotel has some bed ticks and dusty. Aircon is not functioning well. Episode of power outage that lasted almost an hour.

The room itself was not up to par- smells moldy, stained sheets and pillowcases, dusty furnitures and counters. We had to switch room due to leaking stinky water from the ceiling. The surrounding is really nice and quiet; although a little upkeep is required.

Family-friendly resort

We enjoyed our stay at Alta Vista. We arrived late on our check-in date but the staff were really helpful and made our check-in as quick as possible as we travelled almost a day to get to Pagudpud. We contacted their front office staff and gave instructions for check-in. We rented their villa as there were 7 of us. The room was big, clean, had sufficient air conditioning facilities and hot water for showers. There were two floors at the villa and it was spacious, ideal for those travelling with many large suitcases. The resort is by the cliffs/sea so views during breakfast are really nice. Staff were friendly especially manang who worked at the restaurant during dinner time. They also went beyond expectations by helping prepare fruits and veggies for our vegetarian family member (even let us store our shop-bought fruits in their fridge) Overall, everyone was helpful and made our stay enjoyable and hassle free.

Hotel is ill maintained, very remote, no wifi, no Tv, no stores anywhere near, beach is almost nonexistent, very rocky, a lot of debris, veranda furniture dirty, outdoor toilet in shambles, huts they claim were destroyed by storms, railings dark from grime...the rooms were small, bathrooms small....we were the only guests and they would not allow us to park near the building nor upgrade our rooms considering the TVs won't even work with their flash drives..they also made a mistake about our booking, claiming we only booked one room until we showed them the confirmation from Travelocity which we could hardly access from their "personal" wifi...no phone signals except a very weak globe...the hotel can be really beautiful with spectacular views but the place is just too neglected...their restaurant is the only one in a 7 to 10 km radius, and it is not bad
