I love this place so much. Sanchos restaurant is so delicious, The Reef has incredible drinks, and La Fern has Matty the best bartender ever. The facility is clean, and the check in process is seamless. The birds inside the front are so cute. I will never not stay here. This is the place.

Pleasant facility with motel-styled rooms. Everything worked fine although the lamps are falling apart. The only problem was the wi-fi with poor connection for a lot of time.

Someone 💩 at the pool and they just removed the 💩 from the water and let the people go inside again, i noticed that's why i didn’t go inside the pool , but that's unsafe for everyone

The hotel property is very scenic with a beautiful pool and pool area. There is a restaurant/bar overlooking the pool . The rooms were fine. A bit dated and older but clean. Beds were good. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Good value.

We reallyyy wanted to love this place! First, none of the staff was cheerful and friendly, except at the mexican restaurant. The room looked like they tried, but missed the mark. Carpet is FILTHY, bed bit super comfy, Bathroom small, furniture damaged, etc. Pool needs cleaning. Was very cloudy and full of leaves.

The one positive thing I will say is that the location was perfect. Close to a great coffee shop and great view of the mountain. Then comes the negative, we had high hopes for this property but were severely underwhelmed. When we arrived there was a wedding going on, which was great to see… however, after a long day of hiking it wasn’t pleasant that it went to 10pm and was loud. I am all for weddings but I wish we would have known that prior to booking because we would have made other arrangements. Next when we entered the room there was a stain on the bed and hair in the bathroom. Also the shower drain didn’t go down and I was grossed out severely. Poor plumbing as well. When asked for help, there was no one to help. Normally we do Airbnbs and this just secured the reason why we will continue to do so.

Old dated refurbished overpriced motel 6 hotel with dingy carpet, peeling wallpaper and old mattresses. Looked more like a tiki room with dated floor plan and bathroom. I should have known when there was a no refund policy that this was a low budget motel. Still cannot believe how much they charged. No complementary sundries in the bathroom either.

I dont think I'll ever stay anywhere else now in Palm Springs. This hotel has all i need. Amazing tiki bar, excellent Mexican restaurant with the BEST chips and salsa I've ever had, and the speakeasy LaFern bar with Matty the Marvelous serving up some of the best cocktail creations. The rooms were clean, and sufficient. While the bathroom was small and cramped, the rest of the property made up for it. Such a gem for a nice price!

Two dining options at the hotel. Few minutes by car to downtown Palm Springs. Also minutes away by car to Indian Canyons. The pool is great!

The hotel is old but maintained well enough. The rooms are clean enough. The pool area is the best thing about the hotel. Now for the negatives. There were 4 of us on the registration. They had only 2 sets of towels/wash cloths and 3 pool towels in the room. I shouldn’t have to request more towels when clearly there are 4 people in the room. Maid service came everyday but did not swap out the wet pool towels even though they were thrown inside the shower. She did however take the regular towel that was on top of the pool towels so I know she saw the wet pool towels. Also there was a huge crack under the door. People would be standing out on the balcony smoking and the smell would come under the door. Also there are no safety chains/locks on the door. Some man was being belligerent in the middle of the night and I had to open the door to tell him to be quiet because I have sleeping kids. It would have been safer had I had a safety chain to open the door slightly to talk to him. There was zero soap/shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom. There is no microwave in the rooms and if you want one they charge you $15 to have one in your room. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.

Convenient location to everything. One of the best Mexican restaurant around. I could eat there every day! Loved the pool and jacuzzi. Cool vibe for the outside of the hotel. House keeping is flexible and friendly.

Pros: The pool and poolside bar seemed very enjoyable and people were having fun. Unfortunately, we were there only for a day with our little kiddo and couldn't take advantage of it. Location was only a short drive to downtown, so that's good. Cons: Room was dated and could use an upgrade. The bed was too soft. $15 to have a microwave in the room is a no-no for me. Verdict: This place is good for quick stopover. But may not be everyone's choice.

We had so much fun staying at Caliente Tropics Hotel! The front desk staff was friendly and helpful during check-in. Highlights include: heated pool and large hot tub, Sancho's for dinner, and spacious deluxe king room. We always appreciate an in-room coffee maker and powerful updated shower. I couldn't get enough of the Tiki theme around the property - it made it all the more special and memorable.

Great place a little away from downtown. Three great restaurants on site, great rooms with comfy beds and necessary amenities. On site restaurant overlooking the pool was great! Staff was so nice and great about any ask!

Nice hotel for the price. Property and pool area was beautiful! Pool was nicely heated. The room we stayed in was very outdated and could definitely use an update on the carpet for sure. The hotel was still pricy for what it’s worth but lower than almost anything else in the area. Good for a quick 2 night stay in Palm Springs. Lots of parking and not to far from the main downtown area.
