10/10 Excellent
"My autistic daughter and I stayed here for the second time. This time we stayed for a week and we will be back again in the future. The staff is amazing and always ready to help. The pool was super cold so we couldn’t enjoy that and were hoping to hang out in the hot tub but it was always closed. My daughter can’t take showers due to her sensory issues and somehow we got a room without a tub. I will make sure that doesn’t happen next time. That was my mistake in not verifying that we had a tub. Overall the location is spectacular!! There are so many restaurants nearby and the shopping is great. Definitely one of our favorite locations in Polk County."
"The young gentleman that worked the front desk was amazing. He was kind, personable, and attentive. We did have an issue the first night with our toilet not working. He called maintenance to come in, and they fixed it right away. Very pleased with our stay. "
"The staff was so friendly and helpful, even took time to give us a short history on quilts hanging in the hotel. Very clean rooms and good breakfast."
"We arrived shortly after check-in, and the front desk guy was rude and stayed on the phone the entire time while “helping” us. Check-in took about 10 minutes with almost no communication. He only mentioned a damage hold, then handed us the key without telling us our room number, where to go, checkout time, or any hotel info (breakfast, pool, etc.).
The hallways and elevator were filthy and smelled like smoke. When we entered our room, it smelled terrible. Turning on the AC helped slightly, but there was a constant loud whistling/creaking metal noise coming from outside the room that NEVER stopped the entire stay (3:15pm–11am). The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything. Even footsteps and coughing.
The pool was disgusting: foam on top, debris and paper at the bottom, and even nicotine pouches floating. The hot tub was yellow and looked slimy. We didn’t use it.
The shower was also unacceptable, dirty showerhead, odd-smelling water, and it barely got lukewarm. The sheets did not stay on the bed and didn’t feel clean. Nothing in the room smelled fresh, including towels and pillows.
Breakfast was decent (waffles and potatoes okay, eggs not great), but we had to figure out the time ourselves. Avoid the apple juice.
We had to play something overnight to sleep because of the loud metal noise.
Overall, this hotel is extremely unclean, poorly maintained, and the service was terrible. I’ve traveled a lot, and this was by far the worst experience. Do NOT waste your money."
