"We had a wonderful stay at the Shelby Inn. It was our second time back. Our room was very clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries. We were able to sleep and relax peacefully, as the property was a quiet and calm environment . We were comfortable and very pleased with our stay!"
"The room I booked not at all what we were offered. Booked off a 8.0 rating and amazing photos of new remodeled non smoking room. Restaurant lounge and arcade were listed .. nowhere to be found.
As we pulled in we immediately regretted our booking. This was a rent by the hour type hotel.
Trying to stay positive, we went in to view the inside .. there are no words to describe what we say. Live bugs crawling in the bed and whiteish "bodily" fluid very visible on the comforters. Took my family out as fast as possible.
Not 1 but multiple roaches. "Non smoking" was a joke. The room reeked of cigarettes and weed (not ok as my daughter is highly allergic to smoke)
We videoed the crawling bugs and cracks in the wall allowing us to see the outside and promptly returned our keys to leave. The staff we encountered was friendly but not the kind of person you want your family to experience.
Booked thru Expedia (who I messaged with pictures) told me sorry but nothing they can do. I would not recommend anyone stay here or expect any help from Expedia. I am Disappointed and repulsed to say the least. False advertising by both Expedia and the motel were obvious but the live bugs made my stomach turn "
