"The lodge is well located in the Hillcrest area, close to the Main Road with it's shops and restaurants. Bev the hostess was very welcoming and seemed prepared to go out of her way to assist her guests. The breakfast in the morning was varied and good. "The hotel has an amazing vintage architecture. The building is amazing however it needs a some tlc. The reception ladies are great, they made me feel welcomed specially that it was my first time in Durban. The security guards was really good, very welcoming as well. I had a wonderful stay at the hotel with a nice sea view and it's very quiet, you get to relax.Just wish they could just could take case of the building outside, it really need some work. "
