Let's start with the good: - Fantastic location: close to metro, gare montparnasse, rer B isn't far - Shopping mall nearby with everything you need - Rue de la Gaieté is vibrant and lovely with theaters and restaurants - hotel is surprisingly quiet despite being a busy steet i head not noise from outside. - hotel has an elevator, bathroom is fine and water is hot. The mid: - Constant noise from the floor above (i was on the 4th) at weird hours made is nearly impossible to sleep. Who and why moves chairs and furniture at these hours? Why can't you soundproof? - breakfast is 12 euros and consists of a choice of 2 juices, coffee, toasts, 2 cheeses, supermarket yogourt, croissants and pain au chocolat. You can have a better breakfast for less litterally by crossing the street. The bad: - I paid my city tax in advance the night before checking out this was my decision. Next morning when checking out I was told to pay it again. I told the staff that I paid the night before and I do owe them 1 breakfast (they seem to have forgotten about that) They didn't believe that I paid the city tax but for sure believed me for the breakfast. Being in a rush i paid both . this part really made me dislike my stay. And this is my "final souvenir" Otherwise I would have give it 4 or 5 stars. Enjoy your extra 5 euros! Oh and since it was late October I don't know about the AC. Cheers

Hotel Central was a very well situated hotel in the heart of the Cafe/Restaurant/Theatre area of Montparnasse with easy access to close by Metro stations of 'Edgar Quinet', 'Montparnasse' and others. A 50 minute taxi ride from Charles De Gaulle airport the hotel provides good clean basic accomodation. The staff and management are welcoming, friendly and helpful when needed. A good local style fresh breakfast is available but eating and drinking are left mostly to the plethora of nearby Cafes. The hotel is situated in a buzzing Paris suburb and is a good convenient springboard for visiting all the sites Paris has to offer. Don't expect massive lounges, bars or frills in the hotel. Do enjoy its simplicity.

Great location, good comfort for the right price!

Great location and great stay for the price. Close to metro station and surrounded by a lot of restaurants and cafes. Location seems to never sleep, lots of energy surrounding and you truly feel the local vibes. Would highly recommend for budget stay and would definitely stay here again!

Friendly staff. Great location close to everything. Rooms are small. WiFi connectivity was really bad and caused me to use all of my phone data while there. Breakfast is 10 euros a day which is pricey for what you get. No air conditioning control so you have to open the window if you get hot. Shower water pressure and heat could be better. Overall nice hotel for the price and location but could be better. The staff definitely make the place!

It's location is great for almost everything, restaurants, bars, theater, metro etc. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was fresh but basic, I say that compared too other hotels. It was satisfactory but not wow.

We have no complaints about the facilities or the location, we were satisfied. When we arrived at the hotel and had to pay the lodging tax, we asked again and again because we weren't fluent in English and were skeptical about the security of Paris, but the receptionist patiently explained.

This was a very good property. If you are looking for upscale, this is not the property for you. Like many hotels in this area you should ask for a room in the back so you dont hear noise from local cafes that stay open till midnight. It didnt bother me. Great location, woth Metro one block away. Very quaint, good service and a sufficient breakfast available for extra $10.00. Although very basic. Great coffee and good Crossants. Loved the neighborhood. Clean rooms except the shower curtain was stain with iron. Felt very good about this property.
