Hotel St. Pierre is more like an overpriced Hostel. I originally chose it because of location, but I once I was there, I saw how many other options there are nearby, so I suggest checking those out first if you prefer a hotel.
The main guy who works front desk is rude and yells at his staff in front of customers, so he shouldn't be client facing at all.
The elevator breaks down every other day, so be prepared to walk up and down five flights or more. Two of my wall outlets were broken and the hair dryer and fridge didn't work. The tub was dirty when I checked in, and the only thing clean in the room was the twin bed.
Given all of these facts, it should be a fraction of the price.
Positives: Yussef was the most helpful and should be the main person at the front desk. Look out for him.
Tip: If you're there in the warm months, ask for a fan at the front desk, as the "AC" works as well as a sigh of disbelief.
Hostel St. Pierre feels more like work than a vacation.
