The location is great, close to 3 metro lines and walking distance to Montmatre. The staff were all very friendly and we loved the layout of the room. Our kids loved sleeping downstairs and we parents liked being in our own space after bedtime.

The hotel is very outdated and needs repairs. Despite the condition, I can see its beauty when it is in its days of glory. The staff are very welcoming abs accommodating. The location is good. Walking distance to the metro and a lot of shops and cafes around.

It has that great old French style. The staff members were more than friendly and welcoming. From baggage hold to transportation guidance. Wish the Air Conditioning was stronger in the rooms but everything was perfect for me and my family.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel is charming, but if I am being picky, the property itself needs some renovations. It is ideally located and can really benefit being renovated. Some attentions to details such as cleaning under the bed and around the bedside tables would do a lot of good. The bathrooms are a little outdated as well and can benefit from a change of appliances (especially the shower heads).

Good situation but rooms overfurnished.

Overall it was a pleasant stay. However, there were a few things we weren't fussy about. The room was a strange shape and during the night my husband kept bumping into inconveniently placed furniture on his way to the bathroom as he didn't want to put the lights on and wake me. He need not have worried as I slept very badly. No matter what we did to try to have the room at a comfortable temperature, it was much too hot. The bed was uncomfortable as the mattress was covered by a thick, crackly plastic sheet. This is my pet hate as I overheat and cannot lie on the hot mattress. Instead, I had to sleep on top of the duvet, with no covers. Breakfast was just adequate. I don't think I have ever eaten poorer croissants in France. They certainly didn't taste like they had come from a local bakery, more like from a long life multi pack, hard and tasteless as they were! On the plus side, the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was located very conveniently for the places we wanted to visit. Despite being in the centre of Paris, it was quiet during the night, just the occasional horn blowing but very little traffic noise. The area was bustling and there were lots of lovely restaurants and cafés nearby. It's also not far from the department stores on Boulevard Haussmann. There is a lot of work going on in the hotel so expect some daytime noise.

Une des expériences les plus étranges que j’aie jamais eues dans un hôtel. Je ne dis pas que tout est terrible, mais pour le prix payé à plus de 400$ CAD la nuit, ce n’était pas du tout l’hôtel 4 étoiles auquel je m’attendais. En fait, comme plusieurs autres avis consultés par la suite, je suis d’accord pour dire que les 4 étoiles ne sont pas méritées. Le problème principal pour moi était l’absence quasi-totale de wifi, alors que c’est bel et bien explicitement promis au moment de la réservation (et alors que ça va de soi, franchement, en 2022!). Quand je dis absence quasi-totale, je veux dire que le réseau existe “en théorie” mais est si faible que rien ne fonctionne et ça déconnecte littéralement aux 30 secondes et ce, autant dans le lobby que dans ma chambre au 201! Même constat également chez ma sœur et son conjoint qui louaient la chambre 103. J’aurais pu pardonner le problème technique d’un soir mais ça semble vraiment être un défaut permanent, et le comble a été le service à la clientèle absolument déplorable lorsque j’ai soulevé ce problème. Pour faire une longue histoire courte, on a d’abord dit qu’il n’y avait rien à faire, on a ensuite insinué que c’était ma faute car j’aurais dû spécifier que j’avais besoin de wifi (!!) et finalement de peine et de misère en insistant on m’a acheté une carte SIM contenant des données au 4e soir de mes 5 nuits passées à l’hôtel. Seul point positif dans le service à la clientèle, le sympathique réceptionniste Hany.

Overrated

The staff was nice, but there it ends. The breakfast turned out to be a form that you fill in with very limited selection delivered to your small room. Two out four days it came within the 15 mins timeslot I chose, last day an hour later when I was leaving. The only elevator got stuck and rebooted twice. The public areas had no airconditioning / were very hot, the room AC was fine. The bathroom design such that the toilet was pretty much unusable with ~80 cm from bathtube edge to towelrack. No minibar. Water flooded from bathroom to the room carpet when showering. Not the worst I’ve seen in Paris, but definately not a 4 star in my opinion.

They close at night and lock you out. No one answers the phone to let you in. I spend 10 minutes knocking on the door before a rude attendant came to the doors and told me to bring up my concerns to the manager. The next day, the manager apologized for not having a call number listed on the door. Clearly they do this regularly. I opened a window to let some fresh air in. It could not close and when asked for help to get is closed, it’s as if I was bothering the attendant.

Simply OK. I had to go out and buy tea bags and cups as there was only a single one use cup in the room and one tea bag. I think most of the remorse come from the hotel advertising itself as a 4 star facility. They are setting themselves up to fail. the hotel is nowhere near 4 star standard, though the price tag can reflect it.

Convenient location, spacious room

The hotel's location couldn't be better. Too bad the hotel's restaurant wasn't available when I wanted to dine on Sunday due to Covid, but there were plenty of restaurants nearby. Staff were very kind and helpful.

Wonderful charming authentic place to stay while in Paris. Was treated like family and the room was perfect with a comfy bed and a nice view of the area outside our window. Would definitely stay there again…right smack dab in the middle of “all things Paris!”

It is what you'd expect from hotel in Paris. I was impressed and satisfied. Huge and comfortable bed, all the red and gold details are quintessence of parisian good taste. If you dream a little you can taste love and romance on an evening walk. Good for an extraordinary stays.
