So clean very big area pools was clean and amazing nice to cool off after a day in the hot sun and sand steps away for the water. Front desk staff we so kind and accommodating. Definitely going back.

The motel was just across the lake where the water park is. The location was the most attractive point of our stay! The cleanliness is not the strongest feature of the motel, but there was a kitchen and where to sleep, so we didn’t care much for the room itself. Overall, we liked our trip and we will come back again!

The staff at the Golden Sands are great. Very helpful and friendly. The mattress of our hide-a-bed wasn't good and they sorted it out for us. The location right across from the lake is amazing. And although I don't have dogs, I love how they're allowed to stay too. I'll be back for another stay.

This was a truly exceptional room for the price. More like an apartment, and in much better shape than the outside of the building would suggest. Very clean also. Nice staff, too. Highly recommend.

Place is a bit run down, I feel like the price I paid didn’t reflect the state of the property. The mattress was an old spring mattress and not comfortable…. But the pool area was nice and clean and the temperature was just right to cool off in.

This motel was decent if you need a dog friendly place. The A/C only worked in the bedroom not the rest of room. And you have to wash your own dishes or charge you. But the bed was comfortable and it had a kitchenette.

The room had spider webs up in the corners, black mold in the bathroom near the floor. It was pretty gnarly. Staff was super friendly and helpful though so shout out to them!

We had a wonderful stay at the Golden Sands Resort! The location truly can't be beat, it's directly across the street from the beach and within easy walking distance of countless restaurants, shops, and activities. It made exploring Penticton so easy without needing to drive. Our room was nicely updated with everything we needed for our stay. While it wasn’t spotless, it was clean enough for a comfortable stay. There were a few areas around the property that could use a bit of maintenance, but it didn't take away from our experience at all. The pool was clean, well-maintained, and a great place to relax after a day at the beach. The staff were also incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, this is a great value in an unbeatable location, and we'd happily stay here again on our next trip to Penticton!

The room itself was clean , the medicine cabinet when I opened it looked like there was mold sitting on the shelf ? The bed was very squeaky and hard . AC while I was happy ther was some was old and super loud The location is good as it is right across from the lake

Great location as there is a paved walkway and sandy beach for swimming right across the road. Property is older and dated but it's hard to beat the location, especially at the price which is very reasonable.

This is a premium spot. Steps to the Beach and malecon access. Walking easily to amazing restaurant the Elma and a long time favourite Saltys. Room 203 is above the iconic ice cream store lickity splits. Gives you a great view of the SS Sicamous, the channel float area, rose garden , the landing amusement park and much more.Penticton is a rare spot where all you really need to get around is a bike or scooter. Bring your own bath towels, the room amenities are kept super basic. I brought my own soap, towels and snacks. My room had a small stove, fridge and microwave.they do have bbqs on site, a pool and really with the beach feet from your door you kinda of look past the fact that Pentictons hotel/ motel area is unique throwback to the early 80’s. I come down often to visit family and friends and I like being here because it’s clean, safe and easy to get around one of the most beautiful cities surrounded by beaches, orchards, wineries and a recreation purists adventure filled holiday.
