Wonderful historical place. As part of Relais & Chateaux, Le Moulin de l'Abbaye definitely meets outstanding standards of history (we stayed in a 13th century building) and luxury. We also had dinner at the Michelin star restaurant and had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend it.

The reception was fantastic. They greets us like family. The view from our room was so beautiful, it brought me to tears. We had a problem with drainage in our shower and it was fixed immediately. The breakfast, served on the terrace overlooking the river, was scrumptious and they even had gluten free bread for me.

Die Unterkunft war insgesamt ein Traum, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein bisschen schade war die Größe des Zimmers für den doch sehr stolzen Preis. Wir mußten die Einrichtungsgegenstände umräumen, um dann unsere Koffer aufgeklappt auf dem Boden zu platzieren, da in den Schrank praktisch nur 4 Kleiderbügel passten. Die Umgebung, in die die Unterkunft eingebettet ist, lädt zum Träumen ein. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich und das Essen fantastisch - jederzeit sehr gerne wieder.

Beaucoup de charme !
Le site est unique et magnifique. Excellente table étoilée. Les chambres réparties entre le moulin et la maison du Meunier sont assez simplement décorées, confortables, très propres. Beaucoup de charme!

Fabulously located hotel with fantastic restaurant
This is a beautiful and charming hotel in a beautiful and charming town. The location of the hotel on the river is just stunning. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant first class. Didn’t bother us but the river is loud.

Great for a romantic break
The hotel is lovely, the setting is beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food is excellent but it is expensive. Drinks on the terrace overlooking the river is wonderful.

très décevant
On arrive à l'hôtel à 17h. Les chambres n'étaient pas prêtes. On a dû attendre 18h10 pour avoir nos chambres. Des jeunes nous accueillent mais sans être formés. Donc elles oublient les clés à la réception. Il fallait aller les rechercher. Les chambres devaient avoir une vue sur la rivière, elles étaient au même prix, une avait un balcon vu sur la rivière, l'autre sous les toits, il fallait monter sur une chaise pour avoir une vue. Pas d'internet. Bref pour un 4 étoiles, recommandées par Michelin et relais et châteaux et pour le prix bien décevant. Cerise sur le gâteau on nous annonce un buffet pour le petit déjeuner, en fait on vous sert à votre table. Je ne le recommande et je n'y reviendrai plus. Il y a d'autres hôtels dans le secteur, réservez donc ailleurs...

Charme et élégance
Très bel endroit bien tenu. Bon service et bonne table. Vous pouvez séjourner sur le site du moulin sans doute plus calme car bruit la nuit à l'annexe. Faire attention de respecter le port du masque dans les lieux communs et le restaurant.

Accueil déplorable pour un Relais Chateaux, aucune aide pour porter les bagages en chambre. Problème lors du règlement a notre départ, le montant réglé lors de la réservation 737,98€, n’a pas été déduit en totalité de notre facture, mais seulement 708€ ? Gros mystère, à vous d’en juger. Bonne cuisine Service en salle moyen, manque de professionnalisme total. Indifférence totale lors de notre départ, on attend le Merci avec le sourire.

Perfect stay in Brantome. Such a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Our wonderful room overlooked the river. We enjoyed the town and its stunning architecture and quaint streets. Can't wait to come back for another visit.

Heaven on Earth
This hotel is heaven on earth. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are comfortable and wonderfully decorated, and the restaurant is unbelievable. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel, and I hope to visit again in the future.

Beautiful setting! Loved this small riverside tiwn! Reasurant was closed but very nice buffet breakfast with seating in a gorgeous setting (Lovely July morning) Our room was in an unattached building and upstairs but a very comforabke room.

Séjour de rêve dans un lieu magique et romantique
Nous avons bénéficié d’un surclassement et avons donc eu une très belle chambre dans le moulin, avec une jolie vue sur le fleuve. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le calme et le décor de la chambre ainsi que la literie de qualité. Les 2 dames de la réception sont charmantes et très serviables. Elles nous ont conseillé un bon restaurant et nous ont fait la réservation. Tout était vraiment parfait et nous avons adoré cet hôtel plein de charmes et si romantique.

Hidden gem
A very pleasant surprise. After our original hotel (booked through a different site) cancel our reservation we scrambled and went to Expedia to find a new place. This was a little further away but was so worth and extra ten minute drive. Beautiful place, oustanding service and comfort!
