The Econo lodge was close to the event that i went to. Pillows were stained. Spiders in the room. Stains on the carpet. Could not lock the door. Parking was out in the street.

Was warned that work was being done on the premises. The room was dirty. The quilt was covered in stains. There was a old razor and toothbrush just sat on the window ledge in the bathroom. Avoid

We arrived late after a red eye flight, informed the reception staff by phone,.told to "find the security guard" when we arrive. No phone number for the guard, no otjer instructions,.tried calling hotel number thinking this would go through to an after.hours, nothing. Spent a good 10 / 15 minutes trying to find hom untill he just appeared from nowhere! Didn't see any other staff, left early in morning for another flight. Very comfy bed :) clean bathroom.

This property was really loud and noisy with. The room itself was substandard the bathroom had bodily and feccal stains all over the tiled wall and the rubbish bin was overflowing the motor looked like it had not been cleaned for a long time there was no toiletries facilities provided- shampoo condition or even soap. The towels where all wet and stained and appears to have not been washed and the white bed linen on the bed have bodily fluid stains including what appeared to be blood the room smelt wet and mouldy and musty the carpet had not been vacuumed and there was no tea or coffee making facilities available y

Don’t rely on confirmed bookings
I arrive prior to midnight, I was informed that my booking had been cancelled. The time they supposedly rang I was in transit from Melb to Perth They wouldn’t let me check-in, stay. Offer alternative I’m in the street at 1am with no where to go. To date this booking is in my trips schedule, no reference to it being cancelled I lost over $550 taking a room for 6 hours. They wouldn’t take my calls, then accused Hotels.com cancelling the booking I have a booking advice and itinerary Please contact urgently Lisa

New management, but there’s still a lot of room for improvement. A couple of maintenance issues in the bathroom including a dripping tap. The shower was clean but more effort could have been put into cleaning the handbasin. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful, changing our room to a downstairs one and giving us extra coffee and milk.

Parking Issues
The desk service was very good. A funeral came up unexpectedly I was able to get an extra night, with no problems. There was an issue with a lack of parking due to building construction work. Although the manager tried his best to help alleviate or lesson the problem, some people just seem to park anywhere with no uniformity. There were a couple of times when trucks not connected to the building works just parked in an ate taking up three car spaces at times. I appreciate that the manager did what he could, perhaps a printed off copy of parking arrangements could have been handed to the customers.

Good priced basic accomodation
Large room very clean, super comfy bed. Vinyl flooring which I prefer in a hotel room Only negative was door lock very stiff and the was no rubbish bin in the bathroom. I would definitely stay again

I have been staying at this property for a few years and since the change in ownership have noticed improvements over time. Although its hard to park with all the construction happening I like the hotel and think it is excellent value for money. I look forward to better parking options and continuous improvement.

We have stayed in many many hotels and motels both overseas and within Australia and Econo Lodge would rank the worst we have ever encountered. There were no proper car spaces when we arrived so we had to move a couple of very smelly wheelie bins so we could unload. The verandah was dirty, there was no door mat . There were countless cigarette butts thrown around the corner and the wall facing our room was a broken piece of what looked chip board. Upon entering our room we were met with a rank odor that was like an open sewer mixed with rotting fish. The bathroom fan was going full blast and when we turned it off because of the noise, the smell got worse. We tried to make a cup of tea but after a few sips had to throw it out. The water tasted almost as bad as the room smelled. We made a hasty retreat to the shops where we bought a 5L container of water for the kettle and a spray bottle of room freshener. Upon return we turned on the air conditioner as the night was turning chillly. When the blades of the air conditioner turned down we realised they were brown with dust and dirt. We turned the air conditioner off as we didn't want to die from Legionnaires disease. To be fair, the bed was comfortable and the shower was okay. We were cold during the night because we couldn't heat the room and only one thin blanket was supplied. We have stayed in very basic accomodation throughout our travels and all we want is somewhere clean. Econo Lodge is not clean.
