3/5 - Okay
Villa Casale is amazing, but the town of Piazza Armerina is totally skippable. No great sights, and honestly, the residents are not very friendly. They're not overly rude, just obviously not fond of tourists. See the Villa, then move on.

Historic Centre is noteworthy for its historic sites, and you can make a stop at top attractions like Palazzo Trigona and Cathedral of Piazza Armerina.

We did not go into Piazza Armerina. We spent all our time visiting Villa Romana. It is remarkable for its mosaics.
Piazza Armerina is a lovely old hill town with wonderful people and a beautiful church. The views of the countryside are wonderful.
We have said it all. it was excellent the staff helped to make our holiday very good.
We were on a pretty tight schedule, so we limited ourselves to the stunning mosaics at the 3rd C. Roman Villa outside of town, but the town itself looks totally visit-worthy as well.
