"Our experience in Costa Rica at CC Beach Front Papagayo was absolutely amazing! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Special thanks to Melody and Gabriel, who took great care of us during dinner and always kept the drinks flowing with a smile. Five stars to the chef for the incredible variety of food offered every day — every bite was delicious! Overall, the entire hospitality staff that catered to us was awesome and made our trip truly unforgettable. While the hotel does not offer nightlife or entertainment, we visited Coco Beach, which is about 25 minutes away, where there were several great restaurants and live musical entertainment. I highly recommend checking it out!"

"Good location on the beach. Got Montezuma’s revenge from the water. Be careful. Food was good and plentiful but all vegetables and fruits were washed in water, ice cubes from water, “watered” down booze in the room and free drinks also were “watered”down. Spent 2 days in bed and bathroom. In a place that is 80 and 90 degrees everyday with high humidity it’s hard to navigate around not drinking or eating anything associated with water, not using ice. Minibar in room has can sodas and large sealed bottles of water which is fine but in all restaurants they graciously pour glasses of water to you at all meals and you end up taking a sip. Costa Rica is a beautiful country with lovely people but it’s a 3rd world country. Be careful what you drink. Grounds were lovely and pools were huge. We were Costa Rica before in another area and had no problem. Heard the Gold Coast has some water problems. Really nice spot with many amenities - be careful what you drink. "

"The food was amazing and the staff was exceptional. We were there during the down season so the pool wasn’t really clean and the hot tub and pool bar were not functioning; however, the staff was so helpful and polite and treated us like royalty. Daniella set us up with every excursion and Jesus drove us to the nearby beaches. Other than the facilities needing a little updating, the place was amazing and we would definitely go back! Just keep in mind you are in a very quiet part of the coast, so if you want more action you might not want to be in this area. But it was perfect for us! "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at blue River. The rooms were huge and super clean. We really appreciated the coffee maker every morning. We did the zip line tour with blue River and it was great. The spa pools were very relaxing with tables and chairs at each of them. there were no surprises with the bookings."

"This was the perfect stay as a couple, from the friendly staff to lovely propery. A real Costa Rica experience. Onlyvregret- that we didn't stay longer. Highly recommend. "

"This was one of our favorite places we have ever been. The communication from before arrival, all throughout was so good and made it easy to decide what to do. The Mantu (friend in native dialect) or Butler guides the day and makes it easy to curate your experience on the go. Must do: Sunset drinks at Ambar one night, spa pool (you can access anytime) for sunset, nature tour, snorkeling (the will lend you a snorkel for right off the beach) Every hour they bring round a little bite or juice while your laying by the pool or beach. Also, I didnt realize you could get reservations and they would take you to the other hotels. We loved the steakhouse and Italian at the four seasons and we liked the asian concept at Andaz. The restaurant by the beach at ritz for lunch is amazing too. My only feedback: add beach totes to borrow in the room, clear the room service trays during stay and coffee shop was too expensive - it was oddly more expensive than anything on the property - except the massages - $650 including tip for a 90 min - it was a STELLAR massage but thats extreme imo. if it was 400 something I probably would have gotten a second one. We loved loved loved coming here and cannot wait to come back."
