As always the service was impeccable at Hotel Europa. The staff are amazingly friendly. Svetlana, Tina, Boris, Alan etc. would highly recommend a stay there.
Room was clean and the breakfast is excellent value. Plenty of parking available and location very convenient for both bus and train stations. All rooms are smoking rooms so there is a bit of a lingering smell. Also the soap in the bathroom wasn’t refilled when it was empty, but that wasn’t a problem for me as I had my own. The hotel is a little tired but is perfectly good for the price that is charged.
While nominally clean, this property is very old, looks as though it needs some serious renovation. Staff were very courteous and arranged for taxi and breakfast. Nonetheless, I don't think this is even a 3 star property. The environs of the hotel are also quite sketchy around the bus/train station. It's really just a convenient place if you need somewhere to stay for a night before leaving Podgorica. Would advise against a longer stay
This is a very cheap hotel that is convenient for the train/bus station, but that is its main benefit and only reason to stay here.
The staff are friendly and willing to help where they can with administration like printing off travel documents and the like.
However the building is very old and faded, and my room had the engrained smell of cigarettes. I made the mistake of closing the window before going to sleep and woke in the morning almost choking on the stench!
Unfortunately it also isn't particularly clean and I did have to capture a cockroach before taking a morning shower too...
Did the job for a flying visit to Podgorica but really one to avoid.
It was more than satisfying stay, at a good part of city from which everything of interest is within maximum of 20 minutes walk. I was surprised that the receptionist asked me “if I am sure that I am not Gerardo (my name is Georgi)” as if I would not know my name all of a sudden, while the issue was within her looking at a different day for check-ins. Apart from that all went good- there was options for 5 euro per person for breakfast which should be skipped as the breakfast at the hotel restaurant is mediocre - one should walk to the nearest bakery for nice and tasty burek. The restaurant though had great dishes, which I enjoyed for a dinner, and they came at a normal price. Overall good experience 8/10
