"We absolutely loved our stay here! We stayed in the XL Superior Lodge as a family of three and it was really clean and had almost everything we needed. The campsite has a lovely little park which my little girl absolutely loved, and there was also evening entertainment which was great. We also enjoyed stopping by the bar/café on site for coffee and pastries. Such a nice treat! Overall, we had a wonderful stay and are already planning our next visit. 😊"

Villa Rosa Hotel

6/10 Okay

"The location of this hotel is top notch - walk across the street and you can access a public beach and go right in the water. It is also well maintained and the lobby is visually appealing. The a/c also worked really well. What we didn't love was 1) the pool - it was freezing and hard to stay in for any period of time 2) ironing - there was no iron in the room. You have to go down to the basement floor for a public ironing room. We did but if someone had been using it, there is also only 1 iron. 3) the breakfast buffet - this was our 4th property on our travels through Italy - this was the worst buffet. Smaller portions, not a great selection, the eggs were extremely runny. No one talks to you or helps you during breakfast for coffee or water. They just walk around you and clear tables but that's about it. 4) the price for what you get. I'm assuming you are paying for location primarily. Although the rooms were just fine and we had no huge issues or problems, the price was more expensive than any other hotel at Lake Garda as if it was a 5 star experience offered all around. It was not that - maybe 4 star, 3 star in a few categories and I do have regret for paying so much more when I didn't think so much more was to be offered other than the location."

"The only positive was the location: it is near the shuttle bus and not too far from the center. However, the stay itself was very disappointing and far below what we expected from a 4-star property. The room was advertised with a double bed, but we received two unstable single beds pushed together. The mattresses separated easily, making it very uncomfortable to sleep. Bedding was inadequate: single blankets, no proper blanket covers, and unpleasant smells. Towels and sheets required extra payment, which was not clearly disclosed when booking. Wi-Fi also required an extra charge. The bathroom had visible mold in the shower, broken sink and bidet fixtures, and almost no toiletries except one small hand soap. We reported the problems to reception and were told they would be fixed, but nothing meaningful was resolved during our stay. Overall, cleanliness, comfort, amenities, and service were unacceptable."

Hotel Palazzo Del Garda & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"Check-in was simple and straight forward. Thank you Mikki for that after a stressful day of travel from the U.K. All members of staff, including the Receptionists, Breakfast Room and the Bar Staff that we had dealings with were polite and courteous and happy to help. Facilities were excellent, the bedroom was spacious and very clean and tidy. Despite the very high temperatures outside, we took advantage of the Spa and enjoyed the Sauna and Steam Room, both of which were invigorating and the cool relaxation area was a lovely quiet space to relax after being in both of the above The Breakfast room was light and airy and had plenty of varied hot and cold items to choose from including freshly made to order Omelettes, scrambled egg, bacon and hot dog sausages, cold meats and varied cheeses and I observed a seperate section of Glutten Free foods. My only concern was the grass area adjacent to the pool area was poorly maintained and the sun loungers in that area had an array of bird droppings stuck to the material part."
