We had a lovely stay at the Retreat which is a beautiful location just down from the main street and 2 blocks to beach. Having a kitchenette in the room gave us options for all meals and plenty of space. The pool area is spacious and beautiful offering dining options too as there is also two grills. Clean and tidy and the lovely couple who run it will help you with questions bookings etc.

Great central location!
Lovely self catering apartment for a solo 5 night stay. Super close to beach, harbour and high street... each just a few hundred meter away. Pool was really nice and staff were super friendly and helpful.

Very clean. Nice pool, and bbq downstairs space. Beautiful rights up at night. Room was prefect size with kitcken. Absolutely loved it!

'It was fairly quiet. The studio apartments mean that there are no families with noisy children in the pool. We found the kitchen area very small and hard to use but the bathroom was nice and big. An easy walk to the beach makes it ideal.

Good location, bed needs improving.
A good location close to the Main Street and Marina. Nice pool. Simple room facilities, disappointing about the uncomfortable bed. Two singles joined but a large ridge in the bed that was very prominent making for a restless night sleep.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Location is perfect. Service and amenities were great. Room and laundry were clean. Pool area was lovely. Only downsides were we found our beds very uncomfortable and the birds and kids walking past during the night were very loud but eat plugs did solve this issue. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely consider staying here again.

This property is in an excellent location, within walking distance of everything. The pool and bbq area are amazing. The unit had everything we needed but another towel and teatowel wouldve been great. There is a laundry available but to do a whole load for 2 towels seemed silly. Overall we had a great stay.

close walking distance to restaurants pubs and shops no need for a car also very near to Four Mile beach,having said that the room needs updating( furniture tv, sofa etc), bed was very soft ,theres hardly room to move in the shower no storage in bathroom ie no vanity unit.Pool was lovely and outdoor area very nice and well kept.

This is in the ideal location for the main street. Great pool, great rooms (not for people who like to cook large meals). We have stayed here 6 times and will always stay here in the future.

This was a reasonably priced property but it needs an update - the shower door leaks, the TV reception was poor & generally it’s a bit tired. The staff were very helpful & gracious.

I liked that it was close to town walking distance to everything the is only pool no spar staff was very helpful and friendly if you have a car need to get remote from the office for car park car park small

Port Douglas Retreat is a great place to stay. It's very clean and has all the amenities you need. It's a quiet location whilst still being a few minutes walk from the beach and the main street

Loved our little patio facing the pool and the pool is beautiful. Nice and quiet, too, compact, perfect for singles or a couple.

Well located and good vibes.
We have stayed here before and enjoyed its location, friendliness plus it's lovely pool and gardens. This is why we rebooked for this year.The ease of being able to walk to 4 mile beach, marina or to the main street (Macrossan) in a few minutes makes it a great choice for us. The property fulfills our needs in terms of amenities, service and price.

Fantastic facilities and heated pool which was wonderful. Great location right near the Main Street so easy walking to the shops. Cooking facilities in the room & bbq can easily self cater.
