"Good single room in this inn for a traveller at reasonable rate. Great basic breakfast, pay a bit extra for cooked stuff. Lovely friendly staff. I loved the bar atmosphere, a hub for locals and for Welsh singing and music-making (at weekend, when I was there, at least.) Good Celtic kind of "craic"."
"So much more than just a place to sleep
Lovely hostess and lovely situation, really enjoyed watching the birds at the feeders from our room, and from the breakfast room.
Room and bed comfy and warm, nice hot water for the shower and bath."
"The room was clean and plenty of towels. WiFi wasn’t good in the room but very good in the bar. Breakfast was average, would have liked more selection in the “bakery section” maybe a bagel, crumpets, crusty bloomer. Fruit selection was lacking too.
Swimming pool and facilities surrounding it were clean but dated but we had a good time"
"A gem in a Welsh seaside town.
The name refers to the patron who gave the first land to the newly formed National trust ( I think).
The room was spacious and the bed was excellent. There is air conditioning and the windows are sound proof so little sign of external noise from the high street.
The kitchenette was perfect with a seating area for two.
There is a private carpark with 6 electric charging points by clenenergy.
The restaurant offers a top quality chef with £70 tasting menu"
"Location was great and the room was enormous. Very generous draws and furniture and they went for a mid-century look but it felt like it came from an op shop. The shower was over the bath and would be difficult for an older person. Little by way of shelving in the bathroom. Walls were marked and in some places the carpet worn. While there is a lift there are stairs up and down on each level to get to your room. The curtains were well short of blackout. Overall at 3 star hotel at a 4 star price. Would not go back."
"Great Hotel and well located in Eryri to give you access to; Yr Wyddda, Carneddau and Glydeeau mountains.
The room was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The food was also good and the bar was reasonably priced for the area.
It’s a 5 minute walk from Llanberis village centre and Llyn Padarn."
