"Pousada Manacá feels like a home away from home. The staff are incredibly attentive and helpful. Although I was not happy with my room on the first night because it was close to the road, the reception team responded wonderfully and promptly moved me to a quieter, more peaceful room. The pool and gardens are beautiful, and the ocean view from the infinity pool is breathtaking. It made me want to return to Bahia again and again. The massage service was also excellent."

"Great location for the Arraial d' Ajuda area. Easy walk to town ( uphill ). Close enough to walk to water park. Coffee shop across street. Steps to the beach. Pool was always clean and centered on the property with beautiful views of garden. Staff was friendly. The beach in June was super calm, hardly any people during the week. Even on the weekend it was still calm. The apartment itself was perfect. The windows open to the most beautiful views of property and ocean. We visted in June so the weather was perfect and we left the windows open most of the day and even in the evening. Kitchen was stocked with utensils, pots, pans, dishes. Bring your own coffee filters. There is a grocery store in town where you can get anything you could possibly need or want."

"The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff is super friendly and helpful! There is a restaurant on-site that has cold drinks, delicious food, and kind servers. The air conditioners worked great to sleep cool at night, although the mattresses are very firm! The pool is fantastic! It's a short walk to a decent beach, and the vans to take you into Arraial or back to the ferry to Porto Seguro pass regularly. We would totally stay here again!"

"The staff and the owner were superb. The place was under renovation, with a lot of construction going on which was very disruptive. The breakfast food was a solid B, and the à la carte menu was also a B. The bartender, owner’s daughter’s boyfriend, was excellent. The other new bartender, new hire, was rather disappointing. This was my second stay( every time 5 days long). Altogether, I highly recommend the place. "
