"Beautiful hotel, staff were friendly and helpful. Very clean and really comfortable beds.
The only downside was that after 4pm the only bar snacks were pizza. The drinks were quite expensive too.
The evening entertainment could of been better.
Apart from those 2 things, the holiday was amazing"
"I enjoyed my stay at the hotel . The staff were all friendly and welcoming during my stay . The rooms were cleaned daily and the towels were changed each day .
There was a wide choice of options at breakfast and dinner. One evening guests at the option of a sushi station.
Good value for money, I was HB so paid for drinks with dinner each evening. They accept cash or card . Or you can upgrade to the drinks package.
The entertainment was fair, bingo was a favourite with many guests as well as live shows.
The World Cup tournament was on during my stay and the matches were shown in the lounge or select matches were on the local TV. There were several local bars showing all the games.
I would return to the hotel again ."
"Our second stay in 3 months at this hotel, and the reason for this, is because it’s amazing, from the spacious rooms, to the restaurants on site, the spa, the gym and the amazing roof terrace.
The staff are always friendly and nothing is too much trouble."
"Great option for budget Before mentioning any negatives, I want to start by saying the staff were amazing and highly professional. The person who greeted us was one of the best hotel staff members I’ve ever encountered and truly deserves recognition.
It’s also worth noting that this is a 3-star budget hotel, so expectations should be set accordingly—you generally get what you pay for.
The main building has great charm, being over 300 years old, which adds character to the stay. We booked a budget room (Room 104), which had a small courtyard but lacked any real views.
One of the major concerns was the lack of air conditioning. Although units are present, they don’t work effectively. During summer, the island gets very hot, and the room often felt like an oven, which made it uncomfortable at times.
The pool is small but serves its purpose well as a place to cool off. There is also a sun terrace with around 40 loungers, which is a nice touch.
Breakfast was included, but as part of a budget offering, the hot food could have been better. It was often cold, and unfortunately, the plates provided didn’t fit in the microwave to reheat the food.
The bathroom was missing sink plugs for both the sink and the bath, which was inconvenient.
It would also have been a big improvement if the room had a fridge.
On the positive side, the hotel is in a great location in a lovely town, ideal for those looking for a quieter holiday"
"We got the all inclusive package and the staff was consummating to my friend that is gluten free. The staff is not all bilingual if you do not speak any Spanish. The hotel was nice. There is no AC in the summer just heat. The heated pool was not warm. Pools were fairly dirty. We loved the location and the meals. Breakfast ends a little early but overall it was very convenient and well worth the money"
"I recently stayed at Hotel Atlantic El Tope and overall had a pleasant experience, especially considering the price and location.
The hotel is set slightly uphill, which means you get beautiful views over Puerto de la Cruz and even the ocean from certain rooms and the pool area. The walk back up can be a bit tiring, but taxis are cheap and quick if needed.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, though a bit dated in terms of decor. Housekeeping was consistent, and I appreciated the balcony space—it really adds to the experience, especially in the evenings.
The pool area was one of the highlights. It’s spacious, never felt overcrowded, and offers great views. There’s also a bar nearby, which makes it easy to relax during the day.
Food was decent but not exceptional. Breakfast had a good variety, but dinners could feel repetitive after a few days. If you’re staying longer, I’d recommend exploring local restaurants in town for more variety and authentic Canarian food.
Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay, always willing to assist with directions or general questions.
Tips for future travellers:
* Request a room with a sea view—it’s worth it.
* Be prepared for the uphill walk back to the hotel.
* Mix hotel dining with local restaurants for a better food experience.
* Great base if you plan to explore northern Tenerife rather than just stay in a resort.
Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a relaxed stay with great views and good value for money"
