“We gor a great welcome form Huw and Jon. The evening meal and the breakfast were perfect absolutely no complaints. Our room was ideal for what we needed and it was comfortable. Only one tiny issue the plug in the sink doesn't fit properly so water is not retained long enough for shaving for example. Everything else was perfect so we were very happy and would definitely stay again.”

However, when I arrived for breakfast on the morning, I was told that only a continental breakfast was included, and that I would have to pay extra for a full breakfast. This was very misleading, as one of the main reasons I booked this stay was because I believed breakfast was included as stated in the booking. The booking information did not clearly state that only a continental breakfast was provided. Although the staff apologised, I was still charged...

“Nice comfy room with a sea view, comfortable bed, super friendly staff, a nice pub and good breakfast in a great location. Also parking was free :) there were just minor things to improve - the door handle in the bathroom was loose as well as the temperature setting in the shower. Also internet was unstable so if you wanna stream something, its almost impossible. We had room 12 on the third floor, which we didnt mind, but consider if youre older or require accessibility :-)”

“The Tyr Castle is a lovely old building with lots of character.Trudy is very welcoming ,and nothing was to much trouble. Food was great , cooked to Order ,piping hot on hot plates. Victor the barman and waiter was efficient and friendly.Views are spectacular , we were lucky to have a small balcony which we could sit out on. Only downside was a very small shower cubicle,but given age of property understandable. Easy parking in front of building. We had a very relaxing weeks holiday .”
