"As soon as the gate was opened we knew we had arrived at a special Chambre d'hote. The property was well maintained, welcoming hosts and very comfortable and ekegant rooms. "We turned up at the hotel for a 3nights extended bank holidays weekend just to find out that the hotel was privatised and fully booked with nowhere to sleep in town or in the neighbouring villages !!! Owner refused to speak to Hotels.com since apparently he has only signed a contract with Expedia (but didn’t acknowledge it was the same company!) and refused to speak English... Hotels.com was not able to sort it out not find anywhere else and we had to drive back home 3hrs in the other direction...

"It was relaxing to have a very big bed after a long day of travelling. The shower was easy to access & easy to use after we had worked out what to do with the shower gel, you squeeze it. Couldn't comment on meals, we didn't partake of any."

"This is a unique place to stay. Part working farm, part old stone manor house. The hosts are incredibly friendly and depending on the occupancy you'll find yourself just mixing in with other guests in the shared lounge / breakfast area, outside tables etc. The rooms are not 'hotel decor' but they're comfortable (the beds in ours didn't match but both were great to sleep on). Breakfast was lovely, crepes with different toppings. We had our dog with us and he loved being able to wander around a bit (and right outside the property is a little village green / plaza). Only slight issue - not too many food options nearby (we went into Troyes, but there are a couple options closer)."

"The hotel stands on the hillside in a beautiful spot. It looks over the village and countryside.The room is a good side with views over the pool and was adequate for a one night stop. There was a lot of work going on around the pool, banging, sawing and music playing. The pool itself could do with a little work around the edges to improve the finishes as there were cracks and holes. Not many staff around but tt was pleasant. Breakfast was adequate and self service. Short walk to the village were there wwere a few places to eat. The house of Renoir was a lovely place to visist."
